A lot of people would think that Marui was just using his most loyal fanboy, Akutagawa Jiroh, as a means of satisfying his sweet tooth.
After all, the blonde was more than willing to use his excess wealth to buy all those cakes and gum for his idol.
But what people didn't know was that Marui Bunta was just using the sweets as an excuse to have Jiroh near him. The sight of the pink-haired boy would never fail to perk up the blonde. And, in turn, Jiroh was enough to keep Marui's stamina at its highest level (Though he wouldn't say that out loud.).
And besides, the cakes tasted so much sweeter when Marui would lick them off Jiroh's lips.
