Kanna no Tsukaima

Chapter #1

Heiji's Shrink. Meet the Night Detective!

Whoosh! Ah, the beautiful sound of a mentos time bomb going off, soon followed by my non-choice master, Kanna, holler in great surprise as she is quickly covered by half a bottle of diet coke.

"Didaro! I swear, I'm going to kill you!" Up, that's my cue to leave. Hello, and good afternoon! I am Didaro, a night detective (night as in secret). I have something interesting to tell you about. But first let me find a place to hide out for a bit, if you don't mind waiting. It's mostly until Kanna finally loses the interest in searching for me. Hmm, well this oak tree ought to do for now. Now then, Let's begin!

Let's see, I had been out enjoying the Tokyo moonlight, I'd chosen to stop and rest on top of an old building near that greatly popular amusement park called Tropical Land. I glanced at the ally way down below (for lord knows what reason), and noticed a person walking through.

A teenaged boy that must of been at least 16 or 17. The rim of his baseball cap prevented me from seeing his face. He was wearing a long sleeved jacket and a set of denim jeans. He kept his hands in his pockets, and seemed to be lost in thought.

After I finished taking in what little details I could, I spotted two men who were hiding in the shadows. The two were wearing black suits that distinctly remind me of black ravens. 'Sigh, wonderful a victim and two muggers,' I thought with a mixture of sadness and annoyance. 'Still not sure whether I hate my job or love it. Pretty sure it's hate though.' I got to my feet, preparing to play the hated hero that saves the victim, but I saw that the two men had no weapons.

"That's rather odd," I muttered. Quietly, I moved over and sat on top of the fire escape near by, curious to see what would happen.

The teen had almost walked right by the two men, when one grabbed a rusty pipe from the ground and struck him on the back of the head causing him to fall forewords and sent his cap flying.

The second walked to the boy's side and pulled out a small silver case. I rose planning to aid the injured party, when to my surprise the two in black lifted the teen up and carried him to a black truck (which I hadn't noticed before) at the end of the narrow ally way. Carefully they laid him across the back seat.

"Now we have a guinea pig to see what had happened to Kudo," said the first man while shutting the door, "now lets get out of here before anyone sees us."

"If we're lucky that dug will save us the effort of having to kill him," said the second man. At those words, I lept down and, after picking the lock, slid into the trunk as I felt the truck rumble to life and began it's long drive out and away from the ally way.

They had driven for quite a long time and, I admit I may have nodded off, but I woke the second the truck stopped. After a few quiet moments I climbed out of the trunk and moved over to the back door where they had placed their victim.

I opened the door but didn't find the teens. Instead I found a child lying on the seat.

A boy at least 6 or 7 years old, his hair was coal black and his skin was chocolate brown. His cloths, which looked like the teens, were far to large for him. His sent matched the victim's. He was unconscious and blood was dripping from the back of his head.

I picked him up, thinking he needed medical care. After figuring out where I was, I headed home, with more questions buzzing in my mind than I dared to try and count. 'Later,' I thought, 'ask questions later. Right now I just nee to get home!'

Mwahahahah! Evil cliffie!
