*The original story The Tiger or the Lady can be read on many different websites. It is about a princess who loves a man, but her father doesn't approve. He accuses him and throws him into the arena. He has to choose between two doors to open. One door contains a tiger the other a beautiful lady. He looks at the princess to see if she knows which door he should open. She gestures to the door on the right. But then the story lets you make up the end. So, which came out of the door, the tiger or the lady?*

The youth glanced at the princess once more. She had the look of sureness and upmost confidence upon her face. The young man knew he must open the door on the right. He trusted the princess, his princess with all his heart. Surely, she would spare him and let him open the door with the beautiful lady inside. The princess could never wish him to perish at the sinister fate of the tiger. No, she did not wish him dead, for she loved the young man with all her heart. She would certainly give him the young maiden. He could picture her now, she would be beautiful with alabaster skin, golden curls, and crystal blue eyes. Yet, as beautiful as she might be, her beauty could never compare to that of the princess's. He would have a good life with this young lady, but prehaps not as good as his life with the princess could have been. He would truely always love his princess.

The princess's lover slowly made his way to the identical twin doors. His breathing quickened, and he placed his hand on the right door's handle. He was about to swing the door open, but at that moment... he hesitated. He had to remind himself that his princess could not be so cruel. She would never give him the tiger. Never. She would have never even thought twice about it.

The youth pulled open the door. It was heavy and hard to budge. The arena's crowd sucked in a breath. The man starred into the door. He could see a bleary light at the end of the long hall. He heard a deep growl. He wasn't met with the crystal blue eyes of a beautiful young maiden, but with the knashing fangs and razor claws of the most feroucious tiger in all the land. The ltiger lept foreward in one bound, and knocked the man to the ground. He knew his fate was sealed.

The young man didn't understand. How could his princess do this to him? He glanced up at the princess one last time, she was trying to blink back tears. She was the last thing the youth saw before everything went black.

The princess's cries of sadness and agony filled the arena as she watched her lover die the horrid fate. Violent sobs shook her whole body, but she wasn't sorry for what she had done. Any fate would be better than seeing her lover in another's arms.
