Gandalf the wizard was a jolly happy soul,
With a wooden pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Gandalf the wizard is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the hobbits
Know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that
Old grey hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around.
O, Gandalf the wizard
Was alive as he could be,
And the hobbits say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me.
Thumpetty thump thump,

Look at Gandalf go.

The sun was hot that day,

Right to the hobbit cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler "Stop!"

Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
"Don't you cry,
I'll be back again some day."
