Chapter 1 : Conflictions
Bofur was sitting alone at the river side watching river flowing slowly. Bombur came up to him and said "You look sad, brother. What's going on?" Bofur looked up at him and sighed "It's Bilbo. I've never had a chance to be close to him. Thorin always keeps an eye on me and get me away from Bilbo all the time. I tried so many ways but they didn't work. Now I give up."Bombur saw his cheerful brother was sad and wanted to cheer him up but he wasn't good at this thing. He tried to find words to say but before he could say, Bofur said "Maybe I should find another one...but who?"Then Bombur had an idea but wasn't sure it's a good idea "Maybe Nori."Bofur heard so and felt a lot of surprises and confuses."Nori? Why?" Bombur thought a bit moment "Because..."He said unsurely" You get along well with him and you, two knew each other for long time." Then, Bofur felt angry with his brother's speeches."Why don't you suggest Bifur?! You get me into Nori just because we know each other for a long time?!"Bombur gasped at the way his brother talked to him and responded "No! But because he's never made you sad!"Bofur lost in his mind with the reason his brother gave him before he knew that he was not in the present, his brother was gone.
Bofur fell on the ground thinking what he should do. Should he give up and do what Bombur said or should he try to get close to Bilbo? He couldn't decide now. There are so much things came up to his mind without getting ready. Then Nori walked to him and sat next to him."What are you doing here on the ground? You aren't digging the gold, are you?" Bofur hit his head with one smack hard."I'm not a fool! Do you think there is gold around here?"Nori was not so surprised because it was what he had expected but he acted like he didn't expect. "Hey! That's hurt!" However Bofur knew his game. "Don't pamper! It's just a small bite of ant compare to the war." Nori still acted as he was hurt so bad. "It really is! Look! I think it is going to swell up" He bent his head down to gave Bofur a look. With Bofur's care-minded, he came closer to make sure Nori was fine. Then Nori got a chance to prank him back. "Ouch!" Bofur staggered back because Nori knocked him in his laughed his guts out and stopped when he didn't hear Bofur's laughing. "Bofur? Are you all right?" His voice was soften. "I'm fine." Bofur stood up and swept his trousers but still didn't face Nori. "Oh! come on, mate. It's not that hurt." Bofur faced him. "No, It's not." Nori was curious. "Then what?" Bofur shook his head "Nothing" Nori put his palm on Bofur's shoulder. "You have never been like this. Tell me what made you be like this." Bofur looked Nori's palm on his shoulder then said. "You know nothing about me." He said and stomped away let Nori stood alone with curiosity.
