"So why xre we all hxre anywxy? Loxks lame." Mierfa attempted to sling her nunchucks around her neck, but ended up hitting her spine, causing her to cough. The boy beside her looked at her, disdained.

"We are here because we all saw 7ha7 qui7e beau7iful ligh7 over us. Hones7ly, one would 7hink 7ha7 you did not ge7 7he memo. Have you hi7 yourself one 7oo many 7imes with 7hose, or were you simply ha7ched s7upid?"

"I'vx killed ovxr twenty lxrge meowbxasts. I am nxt stupxd, Nektan!" She glared at him, and he shrugged.

"Jus7 hold s7ill for once in your shor7, boring life. We will be informed soon of wha7 i7 is, of 7ha7 I am posi7ive."

Mierfa remained silent for a few minutes, before nudging him with her elbow. "Yxu're wearxng that idxotxc hat xgain."

"I7 is no7 idio7ic, and I would apprecia7e if you would no7 refer 7o i7 as such." Whatever he was about to say next was cut off by a loud rumble.

"Whxt was thxt?" She asked him, looking concerned.

He frowned. "I… am no7 sure. However, i7 appears 7ha7 7he ligh7 is ge77ing closer."

They never heard who started the shrieking, or the rampage that followed. "Meateyor! It's goig two kill uhs!" They screamed, and immediately, all hell broke loose.

Nektan stood, frozen.

"Nektxn, stxp this. If xt's rxally a metxor, thxn we hxve to gx! Gxt insxde! Nxw!" She shook his shoulders, shouting in his face.

"Mierfa, we will no7 survive 7his, regardless of where we are. I am no7 sure why, bu7 our pro7ec7or, our green lady, has disappeared." His voice held an indescribable calm.

Her lips stretched into a snarl, and she settled into a battle stance, nunchucks at the ready. "Shx woxldn't. She knxws we nxed her!"

"She has lef7, Mierfa. I am sorry. Look a7 7his as an adven7ure. We shall go down in s7yle." He quirked his hat with a smile.

She lowered her weapon. "If… xf you sxy so." She paused, deliberating. "Ya knxw what? I dxn't thxnk I evxr really hatxd you. Yox're a prxtty cxol dxde."

He reached for her hand. "You as well, dear."

A final rumble and a crash. The world had stopped.

The world was gone.

They froze for a brief second, skeleton hands two inches away from acknowledging each other. Then, they crumbled to ashes, intermixing with others to create the most unified front anyone had seen out of a group of trolls for years.

Their green lady cried as she flew over the planet, ashamed that she couldn't be there for the ones she considered her own.

No matter, she sighed.

Revenge would be sweet.
