Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.

We were out on a date in my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road, up straight ahead
A car was stalled, the engine was dead
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right
I'll never forget the sound that night
The screamin' tires, the bustin' glass
The painful scream that I heard last.

"so whats the plan for tonight?" Isabella asked her boyfriend happily as he manoeuvred the car on a road full of bends

"I was thinking a movie?" he suggested

She smiled slyly at him and said

"you want to see Red Riding hood don't you?"

He laughed lightly and said

"yup"

She squeezed his hand softly, and screamed when they turned a bend and saw a car in the middle of the road. It was stalled, and she knew enough about cars from her days as a fireside girl to know that the engine was dead. Phineas, knowing he couldn't stop, slammed on the breaks and the car swerved to the right. The tires screamed and glass smashed in every direction as the car skidded out of control, but the one thing that was imprinted into Phineas' mind was the pain filled feminine scream he heard before everything went black.

Phineas groaned and forced his sapphire eyes open. He couldn't remember what had happened, all he knew was his head hurt.

"what h-" he stopped as he remembered the scream "Isabella!"

He forced himself to his feet and ignored the blood running through his eyes, and the stares of the people gathered around.

Everyone was staring in shock, they had thought everyone was dead, but here Phineas was standing up, and wiping blood off his forehead like it was nothing.

The rain soaked Phineas to the bone in a matter of seconds as he searched through the wreckage for his girlfriend. He heard some shocked gasps, and fought his way through the crowd in the direction they were coming from.

"Isabella!" he yelled in panic when he saw her laying on the pavement at the edge of the road.

He raced over and dropped to his knees, skidding across the dirt and crawled frantically over to her. He gently pulled her head into his lap and said

"Isabella?"

When I woke up, the rain was pourin' down
There were people standing all around
Something warm rollin' through my eyes
But somehow I found my baby that night
I lifted her head, she looked at me and said
"Hold me darling just a little while."
I held her close, I kissed her our last kiss
I found the love that I knew I would miss
But now she's gone, even though I hold her tight
I lost my love, my life that night.

Isabella forced her sapphire eyes open at the sound of Phineas' voice, and forced her arm to lift so she could wipe the tears off his cheeks.

"Isabella?" he repeated "I'm..I'm so sorry"

"It's okay" she rasped

He moved to pick her up to take her to the hospital and she said

"no" she coughed "there isn't time for that"

Phineas choked on a sob and said

"yes there is"

Isabella weakly shook her head and said

"hold me darling just a little while"

"I love you" he whispered

"I love you to" she choked out

Phineas wrapped his arms securely around the woman and pressed his lips to hers softly, savouring their last kiss until the weak rise and fall of her chest stopped
