Swimming Lessons
"What do you mean you've never learned to swim?"Kevin asked his girlfriend, Mia, as they were reflecting on childhood memories.
"It was just something my parents never taught me, "Mia stated with a shrug of her shoulders.
"What if I teach you to swim?" Kevin asked Mia.
"I don't know, Kevin, "Mia said.
"Oh come on, Mi, you know I won't let you drown, "Kevin said with a laugh, "It'll be fun, you'll see. "
"Oh, alright, I believe I don't have a choice in the matter anyway, do I, Kev?"Mia asked her new swimming coach.
"Hm, probably not, "Kevin said, "We'll start tomorrow, first thing!"
"Alright, "Mia agreed as the couple kissed goodnight and left.
The next morning, Kevin and Mia went out to the local pool and were the only ones there, since there were no lifegaurds on duty, you had to look out for yourself.
Kevin helped Mia into the shallow end of the pool.
"Alright, I want you to lie on your back in the water, I'll have my arms under you the whole time, "Kevin instucted Mia. She did as told with alittle resistance. "That's it, Mia, you are doing great. Now I'm just going to pull you around the water alittle bit, okay?"Kevin asked her as she nodded her head. He pulled her gently around the shallow end of the pool. "How does it feel?" Kevin asked her.
"Amazing, I've never felt anything like this before, "Mia said.
"The water is a calm place to escape, "Kevin said.
"I see why you love to swim so much, "Mia said, "This is great!"
Kevin laughed as he continued the lesson.
When the two arrived home, Jayden and Emily were in the liviing room watching a movie, cuddled close to each other on the couch.
"So, how was the first lesson?" Emily asked as the two joined them.
"Great! She's doing really good! We're already in the deep end after one day, "Kevin praised about Mia's acomplishment.
"It was easy!" Mia said.
"Glad to hear that, "Jayden said, putting his arm back around Emily to watch the rest of the movie.
