She's been counting how many days its been since they've eaten dinner together. Kakashi stops by sometimes but the meals are quiet and uncomfortable and he leaves without finishing his plate.
And Sakura will sit there crying into her soup. Later, she'll pour it down the drain because there's no point of drinking tears.
And when she curls up in bed, it hurts so much, so much, she just wants to die.
When she wakes up the pillow is wet and salty.

After a day of training with Ero Sennin, Naruto will lay down in bed, wide awake. He can never fall asleep. So he goes outside and looks up to the stars and wonders if Sasuke is looking at the same sky.
And he feels the familiar crinkle in his back pocket of his family, his team. And he never cries, never. But sometimes he wants to rip that picture to pieces and burn it and say, I don't care, so take that Sasuke!
But he cares. He cares so much it hurts like hell.

Sasuke's days have a routine.
He always wakes up at four in the morning to train. He trains until twelve and sits on a tree stump and waits. And he wonders why he even does that anymore because he knows Sakura will not be there at 12:05 on the dot to bring him a bento box.
He trains some more until six and he walks back to his room. And he always feels like something's missing and he never realizes it, but it's Naruto's constant chatter.
At seven he eats dinner. He always sets the table for four and sometimes he wonders if he's setting it up for his dead biological family or his abandoned team-family.
And at nine when he goes to bed he feels like somebody's ripped out a chunk of his chest because nobody has wished him goodnight.

Team 7 won't acknowledge it but they need each other.
