I walk into my house with Sel walking close behind.

"Hey Besties" my mother says trying to be hip.

She doesn't know but those words sting, and give me pain in my heart.

My face drops and Selena quickly notices. She grabs my hand and squeezes it for reassurance.

"Hey mom, We're going upstairs" I reply to her quickly, Tears pricking at my eyes.

I go upstairs and Selena runs to catch up to me. I fall face first into my pillow and start to cry.

"Dem stop crying. It will be okay" she tries.

"NO. Sel we both know it won't." I say, sobbing. "I don't want to be known as just, just your best friend. We have been hiding this, I say motioning between her and I, for almost 2 years. I can't deal with this, it hurts to bad." I say as tears roll down my cheeks.

"This is a lie. Not only to our family and our friends, but to our fans. Call me when we can talk about it, seriously. For now, I think you should leave." I say without making eye contact.

"Okay" Selena says above a whisper.

I change and lay down in my bed, thinking of what just happened.

Tomorrow is my first show of my world tour.

I grab my guitar and songbook and start to write.
