What a Pleasant Nap
Juri Arisugawa and Miki Kaoru had just finished up their fourth private fencing match in a row and these matches had come at the end of a long and busy day full of tests and long runs in gym class for the both of them. As such, the both of them were dead tired and lacked the will to head back to their respective rooms to retire. "A nap." Juri said. "Just long enough to renew us and let us be on our way."
"That sounds like a good idea Miss Juri." Miki rubbed his aching arms. "But there isn't anywhere to nap in here." The fencing club's room was lacking in amenities.
"Hmm." Juri looked around a bit. "The wall over there, we'll lean on each others shoulders there." She yawned. "Unless you can think of something better that is."
Miki rubbed his head. "No, that should work well enough I think." He stretched, he went to the wall with Juri and they sat down together against it. He leaned his head onto Juri's shoulder, she was taller than him after all. "It's not like anything could happen..." He zoned out, and Juri used her last moment of consciousness to enjoy the blue-haired boy on her shoulder before zoning out herself.
"Oh, my goodness, I slept rather well." Juri was impressed; granted, she prefered firm mattresses, but she didn't think that leaning against a wall would be that comfortable. "What about you...Miki?" She looked down at her shoulder and found that during their sleep Miki must have slipped off her shoulder, for now his head was on her chest! Furthermore, the angle he was at allowed her to see his face all nestled up in there, and Juri swore that she'd never seen him with such a contented smile on his face before. "Hmm..." She noticed he was stirring, she could feel his eyelashes fluttering against her, and part of her was tempted to let him wake up as he was and discover what had happened in his sleep; he'd probably end up with his face redder than she'd ever gotten it before. "Here you go Miki." Juri lifted him up and got his head back on her shoulder. He opened his eyes and looked into hers. "You were about to slip off of me Miki."
"Oh, thank you Miss Juri." He got up and stretched. "It would have been rather awkward if I'd fallen off of you, wouldn't it?" He rubbed his face a little. "Still, I'm surprised at how well I'd slept; I think I dreamed that I'd found the softest pillow in the whole world and I'd buried myself in it." He chuckled. "Sounds silly doesn't it?"
"Not that silly Miki." She contented herself with the puzzled expression on his face, and walked away with the memory of his smile secure in her heart. "Next time, I'll make sure he's even more tired." She thought to herself.
