Hey all! This is my first Ring fanfic, so I hope you enjoy. Oh yeah, I don't own any of the characters, so on and so forth. Please R&R! I appreciate it.
Her body lies in the still water. The skeleton appears, the bone white as the dress draped about the frame. The flesh is dead, but the soul shivers from cold. Surprisingly her black hair still shimmers in the darkness, giving off the only light in the well, the light that always guides her back out.
While her lifeless body still floats in the water of that well, she is flying among the trees of the forest. She finds the people who have viewed the tape and torments them, making them possessed. She still has the strength to do this because she knows a piece of her mother is still with her, flying with her in the silence, and loving her. No other source gives her the power to be alive. Sometimes they talk on their journeys. Samara tells her mother of the message and the tape and is always hopeful for praise and support. And mother always gives it to her... Of course this is all in the girl's mind.
She feels the presence of one entering her world. Someone is watching the tape. Her wings soar even higher as she knows one more will be hers. The more people she brings in to the spiritual world, the more alive she feels. She somehow knows it's wrong and wants to stop, but she can't stop. Her mother wanted her to stop. She holds this memory of her mother and drops lower in the air. Mother. I wish you were really here with me. But no, she would never join her daughter in this evil place. Samara just couldn't stop, not even for mother.
The excitement builds as she prepares for the only time she can reenter her old world, the world of mortal beings. Through the television she comes, slowly, just enough to cause panic. She enjoys this moment so much. Taking her time so she can view the scenes she once loved. Books, windows, the feel of the cold wood floors on her bare feet, the smell of baking cookies, all these things come back to her as she steps into the room. Once she places her hands on the human's face, it is gone, dead. She leaves the decaying, deformed body for the friends and family to clean up, and she takes what is important back to her well in the afterlife.
The line of souls that belong to her grows larger and larger. Every time someone gets sucked into the TV, Samara's anger increases and her evilness expands.
Her mother, who wanders Samara's world unseen, prays for her daughter's soul, and prays that she can change. Samara cannot see her mother, does not know she is there, but their connection traps and holds Anna Morgan in this hellish place that her daughter has created with her malevolent and corrupt heart. Anna cries for her the girl who was once a beautiful child, and once was hers. She also cries for her own condemned spirit, stuck in the sin she committed in killing the girl and in killing herself. The connection that Samara holds to her mother keeps Anna forever under the power of evil. No matter how much Anna still loves Samara, she can't help but wish that this bond would be broken, so she could be set free and live in peace. Even hell would be better than this.
Well, that's it, at least for the chapter. I'm not sure if I'm going to write another section to this, it kind of ends well just as it is. Let me know what you think of this, and if this whole idea of Samara and her mother is worth pursuing in further chapters. Thanks so much for reading my stories, I appreciate everyone's reviews!
