One-shot...
AN: This can be any pairing you want as I didn't mention names. It could even be Robin/Jinx for all I care. But I did write it imagining Rae/Rob. I got the inspiration off Ayumi Hamasaki's 'Dearest.'

No words were said. None were needed. It was a blissful silence that neither of them dared to break. And as they embraced up high where none could see, the moment seemed to last forever. Never-ending as it may be.
She sighed and gave a small smile. Even with her eyes closed she could imagine his smile, shining through the darkness. She squeezed his hand and whispered but a few words. "Promise me. Promise me you'll be there for me."
He was surprised by her sentence. Smiling gently he said, "I promise. Now and forever." As he sat there stroking her hair, he couldn't help but enjoy the feeling. Just having her in his arms was enough to make him happy. As he pulled her closer he remembered the memories of them together. Pleasant, unpleasant, lovable, hateful, all of them. He remembered how awkward they had been at first, bickering constantly. But then he remembered how cute she would look when she was mad. He smirked and quietly mumbled, "Nobody can take you away from me. Ever." And when she looked and gave him a small smile, he was truly happy.
She stood up only a moment after he did. Reaching for his hand, she gave him a smile once more. And once they stood, they walked off. Hand in hand, never letting go. Forever.
