Shirtless wonder

Baird wiped the sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand. Every able body was working on the ship that would hold some of what was left of the human race.

His armor had been replaced with dark loose shorts and a grey tank top.

Across the way he could see Sam helping Dom mount the beds to the walls.

It was humid and Baird could feel the large beads of sweat dripping down his spine.

"Baird!"

Baird turned to see Cole casually walking in his direction.

"Lunch time Damon! All of Delta Squad is meeting up to get something to eat."

Baird set his tools down and followed Cole outside where almost everybody had gathered already.

Marcus and Anya already saved a spot off away from the others under the shade of what use to be a life guard tower.

Delta Squad consisted of Marcus, Dom, Anya Cole, , Baird and now Sam.

"They call this lunch." Baird muttered.

It wasn't much, but Lear food they did own was being packed up for a very long boat trip.

"Baird, you're just lucky to get food. Now shut up and eat. " Sam scolded.

Cole laughed. "Damon I wouldn't piss of Sam if I were you."

Baird just glared in her direction. Man that woman was getting on his nerves.

Most of their meal was eaten in silence which was a rare thing for Baird.

The rest of the day was uneventful and in no time the sun was beginning to set.

Baird slowly made his way up the metal staircase, his body protesting the whole time. As he got out onto the main deck, he stretched and heard several joints pop.

"Ah. "

Letting out a long breath, Baird walked down the ramp onto dry land. He was not looking forward to months on a boat.

Man did he need a shower. His cloths had been soaked in sweat while working in a humid and crowded boat. His next plan for this thing: AIR CIRCULATION.

Quickly he stripped off his shirt to reveal flat and well chiseled abs. Though his body did have several scars, he was still very good looking. His arms were muscular with a few scars from not only fighting, but heavy machine work as well.

Sam was speechless. She had been standing several yards away when she saw him strip. His body glistened with sweat. He looked like a Greek god standing there as he waited for Cole.

After several minutes of staring Sam looked around to make sure nobody saw and prayed that she wasn't drooling.

When did she become attracted to Baird?

Well obviously after he took his shirt off.

"Hey,Baird!" Cole's voice boomed.

Both Cole and Baird were practically inseparable. They were the last of their first squad.

"You ready, Baird?"

"Yeah, let's go. "

Sam watched as Baird and Cole walked away. The shorts did Baird's butt no justice.

Quickly she shook her head to clear her thoughts. She couldn't be thinking this way.

Still she will never forget the image of Baird's beautiful naked upper body glowing in the setting sun.

He was a shirtless wonder.
