Klack A white Go stone was placed onto the goban instantly. Her speed was rather quick, compared to that of her opponent, was something that Hikaru Shindou noticed. He sweat, and was looking at the board, his hand hidden in the looked at her opponent; he was staring at the goban, in a cold bowl of stones.

He dropped his head and uttered his resingnation, barely heard by himself and Sai, the spirit of a Go player that had become appart of his consience a few years back. The girl, however, heard it very clearly, and began to put away the stones. First the white ones, then the black. She looked up at the saddened boy and flashed him a smile. "That was a great game!"

The boy looked up, obviosly surprised by this comment. Her grin grew even more. "How about we play a teaching game, someday?" He nodded his head slightly. "Great, just stop by here when you want to play, and ask for me. Name's Mina Kirose." She stood up and grabbed her backpack, slung it over her left shoulder, and left the salon, giving the owner a small wave and leaving.

"She was good!" Sai commented to Hikaru. Both of them had been carefully watching the girl play the game, since they had entered the Go Salon. Hikaru nodded, 'Hope I get the chance to play a her... if I ever see her again.' Sai nodded and glanced back up at the cleared go board, and remembered the game play, easliy. 'Her game stratigy was a great one. I've never seen a play like hers. I was so unique. I think that I would be an even match, maybe Akira, too. Hikaru would probably barely beat her. Interesting girl.'

"So, you were watching her game?" A voice broke the silence in the room, and Hikaru looked up, confused. A girl behind the counter had spoken. She wore an apron over her blue dress, and a book in her hand- a book called Shadowmancer- was looking up at Hikaru with a smirk.

He nodded his head. "What's her name?"

She frowned, apperently he hadn't been paying attention when the girl had mentioned her name before she let. "Her name is Mina Hirose," she said and looked back down at her book. "Do you want to play with her sometime?"

Hikaru looked up over at Sai, who had begun to whine. "Come on Hikaru! Say yes! Say yes! SAY YES!!!!!" And Hikaru winced, he hated when Sai began to throw tantrums like that. Especailly the first time they had met. Hikaru had refused to play Go and Sai had gotten so upset that it had made him throw up, litterally. Hikaru nodded saying yes.

The girl looked up, slightly surprised at his response. "Well there's a surprise." Hikaru and Sai raised an eyebrow, not comprehending what the girl meant by this. She waved her hand up and down, "Never mind that," She said. "But I'll let Mina know you wanna play a game of Go with her. What's your name, anyway?"

"Hikaru Shindou." He said, instantly. She nodded, and then looked back in her book, losing herself behind its cover.

After a few hours she noticed that the boy named Hikaru Shindou left the salon, walking out with his backpack in one hand and his school jacket slung over his shoulder. She looked up and noticed that she was all alone again. Closing the book, she blundered over to the counter that had appliences she uses to make tea and sometimes coffee, for the older Go players. She picked out a small tea cup and poured some boiled water into her cup, then added a tea bag and sugar.

"That boy doesn't know what he's getting himself into." She sighed. "I don't think he know's that the girl's a pro."
