Anna sat in the dark hallway, leaning against her sister's door. Elsa sat against it on the other side as well. The snowflakes in her sister's room hung suspended in the air. Every surface and place in the room was dusted with frost. She had her knees to her chest, her head resting on them. But then she lifted her head, leaning it against the door. She had heard something.
"Do you want to build a snowman?" her sister had whispered. Then she stood, "What are we gonna do?"
She turned, leaning her side against the door, putting her hand up to it, "It's just you and me. We only have each other"
She stood right in front of the door now, "I'm right out here for you just let me in. They say have courage, and I'm trying to. People are asking where you've been"
"Please, I know you're in there. Elsa?," she knocked once more and without a reply, turned away, walking down the hallway.
Anna went to her parent's funeral all alone. They had been lost at sea, no one knew where they were. But three days later Kai and Gerda were lifting the black cloth off the king and queen's portrait. They had been caught in a bad storm, but otherwise safe. When they had got off the dock and returned home Elsa had curtseyed, unlike Anna who hugged them tight. On her way out she had passed Elsa's door but hesitantly continued walking.
"It's getting worse," Elsa said frightened. She had her gloves on, like always. She moved forward and her father backed away. Hurt she turned to face the frosted corner.
Anna was lying on the floor, clucking her tongue, "Just watching the hours tick by. All these empty rooms, it gets a little lonely"
"(Hang in there Joan) I've started talking to the pictures on the walls. I think some company is overdue"
"Do you wanna build a snowman or ride our bike around the halls?" she knocked on Elsa's door, but turned away, not waiting for the reply.
Elsa's father removed her little gloves, "You don't have to wear these".
She sat down at the window smiling, removing the frost from the glass.
"Do you wanna build a snowman? It doesn't have to be a snowman"
"I wish you would tell me why we used to be best buddies, and now we're not"
"It's like you've gone away. Come out the door. I never see you anymore, come on let's go and play"
"Do you wanna build a snowman?" Anna knocked on the door "Elsa?" With no reply she turned away and gazed out the window as snow blanketed the trees and ground.
A/N: This is based on the "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" scene in Frozen. But instead it is based on the reversed version. There are a lot of these videos on YouTube, of reversed Frozen songs. If you don't understand what I was trying to write, Anna is trying to coax Elsa out of her room to go to the funeral. Anna ends up attending it alone but her parents aren't really dead and soon return home. Basically this version is kind of like her parents not wanting Elsa to wear the gloves, but Elsa doing it anyway, out of fear. This probably could have been done better. It was not.
