Hello everyone, i was going to make this Naruto fanfic about the ANBU but i decided against it. This story will follow the main timeline as closely as i can but i will change a few things. A main character will die. Let us begin. Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto only this fan fiction
Chapter 1: The meeting(Edited)
A young boy is seen in a dark alley cold and crying, he has sun kiss yellow hair that is now appearing dull to anyone who would've seen him, his name is Naruto Uzumaki. "..." He looked at his torn and dirty clothes as he shivered from being soaking wet, the cardboard box providing little protection from the rain and razor sharp winds. "Why hasn't he come? He usually finds me..Am i going to die here? Someone, anyone save me..." He slowly falls unconscious.
Naruto's mind
He awoke in what appeared to be a sewer. "Huh? Where am i?" He turned around to look around and sees glowing red eyes and sharp teeth all of them dripping wet with saliva. "Ah!" He covered his face as he fell on his ass in fear. "Don't eat me monster-san!" He pulled his knees to his chest and started shaking. After a long silence and not feeling teeth ripping him apart he slowly opened his eyes to see a girl around his age looking at him with a disappointed look but not at him but at herself.
"I'm sorry for causing you so much pain, i didn't want to attack your village but i had no choice. I saw the way they treat you and they have the nerve to call me a demon? I am the kyuubi." He looked at her confused. "You attacked the village?" She nodded shamefully before waving him over. "Come, I'll show you what happened on that night." He walked over to her and she touched his head and after a few seconds the memories came in like a flood. She showed him her former container, a beautiful lady with long red hair. "Her name is Kushina Uzumaki." The scene cut to her holding a whiskered faced baby.
"That baby looks a lot like me.." He trails off and the kyuubi just rolls her eyes. "That's because it is you." He blinks before looking at the kyuubi then vack to the baby Naruto. "Wait so that's.." She nodded before finishing his sentence. "That's your mother." She hugged him as tears streamed down his face. "Kaa-chan..." The images stopped as he cried for what seemed like hours which was only fifteen minutes. "Who..was my tou-san?" He asked after he stopped crying and she gave him a small smile.
"Tell you what, I'll train you in two days and i will train you until you enter the academy and if you can get to.." She gained a thoughtful look that lasted longer than necessary. "Um.." Before he said anything else she spoke. "Mid chūnin level I'll tell you about him." He thought it over before answering. "That shouldn't be too hard." He smiled widely missing the giant smile on her face. "Well you're waking up now." He sees himself start to fade away. "WAIT! Will i be able to see you again?" She smiles and pokes his cheek. "Of course, just say my name three times and you'll be able to talk to me." His eyes widen in excitement "Really?!" How she kept a straight face is a mystery. Yes." He finally faded away. She soon started laughing like there wasn't no tomorrow.
Real world
Naruto groaned as the light hit his eyes. "Ugh i hate the hospital..." He heard a tired chuckle next to his bed. "If it wasn't for the hospital you wouldn't be waking up this early." Naruto saw the third Hokage sitting next to his bed looking to have aged a few more years in just one night. "Old man, i have a question." The 'old man' smiled at the remark that some would find disrespectful but he enjoyed it. "Yes?" Naruto looked down for a bit making the third nervous. "Who are my parents?" The third looked at Naruto with a sad smile.
"I'm sorry Naruto but i don't know." Naruto looked down sadly. "Oh..." The third stood and hugged him. "Don't look so down, you will be dismissed in a few minutes." A smile smile came to his face. "Ok." He stopped at the door. "Come to my office once you are discharged." He soon left leaving the boy to his thoughts.
'He lied..It was brief but i saw him in the room. Why would he lie to me?' 'He has his reasons.' 'Oh? He could've just said that he would tell me later! I see no legitimate reason to out right lie to me!' 'Naruto, Calm down..' 'Calm down?! He lied to me! What would happen if someone else tolde me who they were, a complete stranger over someone I've trusted for as long as i can remember?!' She didn't have a reply to that, she couldn't deny that the boy had a point in the matter. 'So tell me, what will you do with this recent betrayal by the one you trusted the most?' She watched through his eyes as he looked out the window towards the Hokage tower. 'I will do what is needed of me by my kage. Nothing more and nothing less.' She remained silent as he made up his mind, unknown to the third he had laid down the foundations for a true shinobi. Where his path will go will be up to the future shinobi.
One year later
A boy with sun kiss yellow hair is looking down from fourth's stone head with a frown. 'You're a real slave driver Kyuu-sensei..' 'Aw I love you too Naru-kun' He rolled his eyes before jumping from the Hokage monument. 'Right..' His hair was a bit longer and his muscles were a bit more defined and he was a few inches taller standing at 5'7" tallest in class. "Well i should hurry, my dad never missed a day.."
The academy
Naruto walked out of the alley with a bright orange jumpsuit and he appeared to be a few inches shorter. 'Unfortunately Naruto you have to keep this act up until you take the chunin exams or take a serious mission.' He just nodded sadly as he walked through the halls of the academy, he hid it quickly with that mask of happiness he always had around the third. "Well lets do this.." He walked into the class to see Iruka, his sensei for the next four years. "Hey Iruka-sensei!" The man jumped a bit at the loud voice, he turned his head to see a the demon brat as people like to call him. "Oh, Hello um.." Naruto gave a fake smile and replied. "My name is Naruto Uzumaki! And I'm going to be Hokage someday! Believe it!" He chuckled some and nodded. "I'm sure you will Naruto. Take a seat class will begin shortly." Naruto looked at him in shock and Iruka turned back around due to still feeling him standing there. "Is something wrong Naruto?" He asked while kneeling down to the boy's level in concern. "You don't hate me?" Naruto asked with a slight depressed and hopeful look that went away quickly but Iruka caught it. "No i don't hate you, i see no reason to hate you for no reason. They might see you as.. something else but i see you as Naruto Uzumaki: The future Hokage." Naruto laughed at this as did Iruka. "Thanks Iruka-sensei, i really needed that." Naruto gives him a genuine smile one that Iruka could tell it's real. "Anytime, now you should probably put that mask back up and the henge."
Naruto blinks and looks down at himself to see that his henge has indeed dropped. "Ah! Iruka-sensei pl-" He gets stopped by Iruka's hand landing on his shoulder. "Don't worry I won't say anything until your ready to reveal yourself, most forget that we are shinobi not movie stars. Just remember to focus on the henge and it should stay active for a lot longer." Naruto rubs the back of his head and nods. "Hai Sensei." He reactivates the henge and goes up to the top back row on the left.
Five minutes later
After waiting for a bit and talking some the two watched as Sasuke Uchiha walked in. 'Poor guy, to lose your family like that..' Iruka and Naruto thought as he took his seat in the back row next to the window. Soon everyone filled in and Iruka took roll. "Mochi Kaze?"Iruka called the name while arching a eyebrow as did everyone else, soon a 'Here' was heard from a boy with red hair, he has on anbu style pants, a ocean blue jacket with white stripes going down the sleeves and the front of it, he wore black shinobi sandles. "I'm here sensei." The girls in the class that will be killed off(*Whistles innocently while trying to hide the Samehada behind my back* Maybe a certain pink haired girl...) looked on with stars in their eyes. "Ok...Akane Kaze?"
Everyone again looked back to Mochi who had a beautiful girl on his shoulder while holding hands..Kiba shot up from his seat so fast it would probably make the fourth raikage look twice. "Is that a ring?!" The girl with the same hair color as the boy looked at the boy, she had on a age appropriate dress that the boys and girls thought looked cute but Iruka could see some hidden pockets. 'First Naruto now these two..i guess there is some fate in this generation..' He pulled himself out of his thoughts as the girl answered leaving him surprised. "Rings, and we're married."
"..." The class was silent as this was said and even Sasuke blinked in surprise before going back to his self harm eh sulking..(AN: Self harm isn't anything to joke about.) "Married?" Naruto asked as the two looked at Naruto and smiled somehow making him smile back. "Yes, we were just recently married." Naruto nodded. "Well lets start the first lesson of the day."
A few hours later
The academy let out a few minutes ago and now Naruto is walking through a far away training ground. "The area is clear Naruto, drop the henge and let me out." He nodded and created a blood clone after opening a scroll. "You remember the hand signs right?" He nodded while going through the hand signs. "Of course." He went through a long chain of hand signs. "Hey Kyuu-sensei, Didn't those two seem familiar for some odd reason?" She rolled around on her King sized bed before sitting up and thinking about the question. "Hmm Thinking about it, they did i just don't know why. Maybe you can ask them tomorrow?" Naruto just nodded and soon placed his hand on the blood clone's stomach. "Eight Trigrams Sealing Style: Pseudo release!" After doing that the clone slowly turns into the small form of the kyuubi. "Ah, thanks Naru-kun. We really need that key because doing this takes some time." He nodded in agreement and was about to say something when two voices were heard.
"Wow that's pretty impressive wouldn't you say Mochi-kun?" The male nodded as they walked into the training ground. "Indeed it is, I assume that is the kyuubi? I expected it to be bigger and male." After Naruto got over his shock he shifted into a stance and his face turned serious. "I'm sorry but with everything you've seen here i cant let you two leave here alive." The girl raised a eyebrow before giggling. "Is that right? You think you can beat us? Mochi-kun could beat you easily." Naruto narrowed his eyes. "We are both academy students, you two might be strong but I will win." Mochi just smiled at this before pulling out a standard kunai. "Lets go Naruto." Naruto pulled out a kunai as well and the two rushed each other, Naruto threw the kunai to see how'd he react to it. He saw it get deflected easily as if it was second nature. "You have to do better than that." Naruto smirked and went through a few hand signs. 'Fire style: Majestic Flame Destroyer!' He yelled in his mind as a wide wall of flame came out of his mouth surprising Mochi. "shit.." He quickly substituted with a log. "He almost got you.' Mochi nodded as he watched Naruto finish his jutsu and watch him in return. "Giving up already?" Naruto said waiting for his opponent. "Here i come." Mochi soon disappeared from the tree branch, Naruto's eyes widened in pain as the fist connected with his gut making the air in his lungs leave him as he flew through the air and righted himself in the air sticking to the tree, his eyes focused on his rival in speed and apparently strength. "You're good, i take it the girl is just as strong as you are?" Mochi just smiled and nodded. "You're stalling for time." Kyuubi's voice rang through his head. "I am, I'm releasing it." He replied back as he held up his right hand. "Gravity Seal level 2: Release." He said in his head and he could feel lighter than before, faster too. "You done Naruto-san?" Mochi asked as he watched the boy release the seal, Naruto arched a eyebrow. "You let me do this?" Mochi nodded. "Indeed." Naruto glances at Kyuubi before back to Mochi. "Why?" Mochi just shrugged while readying another kunai. "I want to see-" A sharp glare from Akane silenced him from saying what ever it was that he was going to say. "Anyway, lets go Naruto." The two soon disappeared in blurs with Mochi being faster he had a slight advantage but Naruto was getting better with each blow he took and threw.
Kyuubi walked around the cleaning to the younger girl. "I'm kinda surprised that Mochi is keeping up with Naruto, you two must've been trained by someone very skilled." "Yes, it was some time ago. The fact that Naruto can keep up with Mochi-kun like that." The two look to see Naruto punch Mochi who dodged at the last second to try and throw Naruto into a tree but luckily for Naruto he substituted with a log making Mochi throw the log instead. "If Mochi went all out against Naruto right now Naruto would lose in four to five seconds flat." The kyuubi laughs at this. "I'm sorry, i know he's strong but he's just a boy." Akane looked at the kyuubi with the most heated look the kyuubi has ever seen. "Mochi-kun had to grow up fast due to the circumstances of our past, if you ever and i mean EVER try to belittle him again I'll-" She's cut off by a laugh. "You'll do what? You're just a little tomato headed girl, you are nothing to m-" It's kyuubi's turn to get cut off as she felt KI radiat off of Akane in waves. "I'll kill you!" Akane's fist hit kyuubi's midsection as fast as the fourth Raikage and the force of a atomic bomb, kyuubi lost all the air in her lungs as she was sent flying through too many trees to count. Naruto and Mochi looked scared as hell and soon looked like a ghost when Akane turned her sights on the two of them. "M-Mochi P-Please tell m-me you can stop h-her.." Naruto studderd in fear as she slowly walked forward, Mochi had fear practically painted on his face as sweat dripped down. "Unfortunately, no. We could run but if she catches us..." He let that hang there as Naruto gulped. "Should we go out fighting or running?" Naruto asked hoping his former opponent would choose running, Mochi looked at him as if he was crazy. "You want to fight her?!" Naruto shook his head faster than anything Mochi has ever seen. "Hell no! Now run!" Naruto disappeared from the spot so fast that Mochi thought he learned the Raikage's infamous Lighting Mode. "Ohh Mochi-Kun, come here dear husband of mine~" Mochi's eyes almost popped out of his head as he saw his wife a mere ten feet away. "EEP!" He didn't care how embarrassing that noise made him sound right now he's running for his life.
Five minutes later
Naruto was halfway back to the village kicking up a huge dust cloud while turning as white as a piece of paper as trees got uprooted by the enraged wife. "Mochi! Bro i don't want to die!" Naruto yelled as Mochi ran beside him. "Naruto, i just wanted to tell you that it was fun fighting you and if we make it through this we can fight again later!" The gates of the village appeared on the horizon after a few more minutes of running, with the assistant of a lot of chakra, at mid jounin speeds. "We made it!" They yelled at the same time and soon after time slowed down for the two and their eyes widen as a whole tree slammed into their path making them jump over it, they almost lost control of their bladder as they saw her appear between them. "Oh fu-" They didn't get to finish as she slammed them into the ground making a large creator. "You two..." They look at each other. "We're gonna die aren't we?" Mochi nodded at the question. "Well it was nice knowing you.." Naruto said and Mochi just nodded, they closed their eyes as she lifted up her arm balling her fist. "YOU FUCKING BITCH!" They watched in awe as kyuubi hit her like a rocket, flying into the woods at insane speeds.
30 minuets later
The two girls were glaring at each other, they just battled for 30 minutes and looked like they could keep going for a few more hours easily. "Should we stop them?" Naruto asked as Mochi looked at him as if he was crazy. "And get ripped apart? Sorry but i like my life."
Hours later
The two boys were woken up by a loud crash and they soon jumped from they position in the tree, they took notice of the darker sky but it wasnt completely dark. They looked into the small creator to see the two girls on their knees glaring at each other while holding up a shaking fist. They appeared beside their girls and grabbed their arms and both received a sharp glare. "That's enough Kyuu/Akane." They said at to them as the girls held the glare before sighing. "Alright/Yeah yeah.." The boys helped them up and held them embarrassingly in their arms. "Mochi-kun?!" "Ruto-kun?!"
The married couple looked at the two, Naruto and Kyuubi noticed this and kyuubi hid her face in his chest. "Ruto-Kun?" Akane said with a smirk. "S-Shut up.." She said clearly embarrassed. "Before we go, We would like it if you two didn't tell anyone. With how the village is they would gather a mob on us." The two nodded. "Don't worry we won't, trust us." Naruto nodded at Mochi's word. "That's all we ask." The couple disappeared in a blur. "Ruto-kun?" He smirked as she blushed. "S-Shut up Baka-kun.." Naruto's laughter was heard throughout the village as they made their way back home.
Unknown location
A man looked up from the commonly used path that lead into the land of fire. "Konoha...You will fall, and i will see to it." The man started walking again, the village would soon be in for a rude awakening. Will they be ready?
With the third hokage
The old man sighed as he finally finished all the paperwork, he stood with a slight groan. "I'm getting to old for this.." He started walking towards the door when he felt a push on his right arm causing it to move back and it was followed by cold air, his eyes widen from realizing what just happened. "The same thing happened before lord second died...something's coming.." He flared his chakra as ten anbu appeared around him. "Evacuate the civilians to the shelters, tell every shinobi chunin and up to get ready for, get the genin to help with this as well and once the civilians and genin are in the shelters all of you need to go track down the shinobi who left for a late night missions to return immediately, GO!" A single anbu remained as the third looked out the window, the silver gravity defiying hair gave him away. "What's going on lord third?" Dog asked in confusion, the third turned back to him and frowned. "Something is coming, and everyone will need to be ready." Dog looked at him with a look that only a battle hardened shinobi can obtain before asking. "A invasion?" Dog asked as the third shook his head and returned his gaze to the window. "No, something much worse...A war." Heavy rain clouds soon formed over the village but it didn't rain and the kage and the single anbu shared the same thoughts. 'The calm before the storm..'
