The sun caused the water to shimmer as I strolled to its edge to catch a glimpse of the myriad of colours that made up the sunset. The sight bringing a smile to my lips as I remembered ones from the beginning, slightly more than a decade ago, on a not so different shore. It had officially ended nine years ago; Syaoran and I were now married, albeit with a lot of resistance from my brother. We had created this haven together, with some help from Eriol, Kero and Yue, who'd come with father and Toya for a few months stay in Hong Kong before heading back to Tomoeda with us.
I had wanted to be alone for this, but I knew that they'd be waiting on the cliff while I said this final goodbye; truthfully, I knew they deserved to be here as much as I did, but they said it was fine. We'd decided to bring them back to their original home, or rather their home soil as Ms. Yuuko had put it, but with added reinforcements to prevent the past from repeating itself. As I turned back towards the wall of the cove I took out the book, my mind flooding with memories as I shuffled through the cards sighing as I remembered the capture of each, till I came to Windy.
She'd been there from the start, my very first card, holding a place as dear as Hope, which could truly be called the last card, and which had always been my own. I whispered goodbye as the tears started to fall. It was nonsensical, really. I knew that we would pay them a visit soon enough and that Kero or Spinel would be taking it in turns to watch over them, and that soon, maybe in four or five years, small hands would hold them as they were taught to use magic after we unsealed them once more.
Drying my tears, I placed the book on the stand in a small crevice in the wall, hearing the soft murmur of goodbyes and see you soons as the key tingled in the hollow between my collar bones. I took a step back and turned, walking slowly out on to the rocks that made up the path to the bluff where I saw everyone waiting, smiling slightly as I felt a kick from inside my womb. I looked up to meet a pair of molten eyes and slowly shifted my gaze to their right, stifling a cry of surprise as I found a pair of mischievous ebony eyes fixed on me, right next to the form of my brother, who seemed to be having a hard time not glaring at the semi-smug look my husband was shooting him. I laughed at the sight, earning the startled look they shot at me before we headed home, the dissapearance of the sun marking the end of my farewell .
This was my first story, so I'm really sorry if it didn't turn out well, and also I apologise for my lack of vocabulary and creativity, it's not very good for a 10th grader. I decided to place the story about ten years after the second movie, which means Sakura and Li are about 21-22 in this story. There's a slight crossover with Tsubasa or xxxHolic (depending on how you want to view it). I put this in because there is a mention of Yuuko and Clow Reed knowing each other, and of her having played some role in the creation of the cards. I also decided to place this as a 6 month honey moon trip of sorts for Sakura and Syaoran, with the others joining them in the last month or so, before they go to live in Tomoeda. I also apologise for the lame ending and again for the content. Please review, I'll also be happy with criticism.
