Okay so I am I going to completely disregard a majority of the Dragon Ball Super movie as of now because I planned this story with the old Bardock Special in mind and used the "old "canon" DBZ timeline" to set some of the character's ages and before the main story for the movie was announced. I probably will add some info from the new movie to this once I watch it but as now, I'm going to ignore it.

Also, I'm going to do my best to keep this rated T but if in future chapters it does wander into rated M territory as this will probably hint/go at some adult themes, and I'm an idiot who sucks at noticing it at times. Please inform me and thank you.

"It's oddly foggy today…," my mom muttered nervously as she pulled up the parking lot to my job.

The fog settled ominously but I found it cool. I felt like I was entering a new dungeon in one of my games that would lead me to a new boss to battle.

"I guess so, seeing it is summer," I replied while lost in my own thoughts and staring out the window.

"You're shift ends at 11 today, right?"

I nod my head, knowing fully well she is not comfortable for how late I work ever since I was given a new position back in June. But what can I say? That's how some parents are.

"Okay Maria, your dad should be able to pick you up once your shift ends but please be careful when you're waiting outside."

"Don't worry mom," I reply reassuringly despite already knowing what to do in case they're not able to pick me up since I'm a dumb 16 year old who doesn't know how to drive yet. "I'll be fine. I have to go, bye and I love you."

"I love you too."

I jumped out of the car and headed towards the back entrance, looking back as I waved my mom goodbye. My hand running through the fog as I walked along and slightly getting cold. Damn…I probably should have brought a jacket with me.

"…do tell me where we are?"

"Forgive me my Lord but I am just as lost as you are."

"Well I better have an explanation sooner or later or someone is going to be lying dead at the bottom of my feet!"

My eyes were glued to the screen as they flickered back and forth to each screen showing a different part of the store. My mind fuddled on the recent developments during my new position as a camera monitor despite it was hours ago when my shift started.

I swear I'm not crazy.

Everything looked normal to the customers checking or buying the electronics, to the people playing the demos of games of the systems we had up to test out. It should be pretty normal like usual on the weekdays here. Should.

My eyes immediately flicked towards one screen monitor while my hand pressed the controls on the control panel to rewind that certain camera's footage. I swore like a sailor under my breath to see the same damn blurry figure before allowing the camera to continue recording. I heard sounds outside the room but I slowly have begun to block them out despite my paranoia that this place might be haunted seeing throughout my shift the blurry figures I have seen varied in sizes.

Plus others have felt a disturbance too as some coworkers have been telling me they feel like their being watched or passed by, by some unseen figure. I feel bad for not having a good answer when they ask me if I have seen anything suspicious in the cameras as how exactly do you convince someone that it's multiple blurry figures.

"What are you staring at so intently," a slightly older female voice came behind me and scared the crap out of me. I jumped where I stood, causing her to laugh much to my own embarrassment. "Haha! Don't be such a scaredy cat! It's not even close to Halloween!"

"Hi Leila…," I reply dryly, crossing my arms as I stood up straighter. "What are you doing here?"

"My shift here?"

Oh…right. I forgot Leila takes over my shift. Damn though, is it really already 11 pm? Looking down at my phone, and yep. Right down there on my screen was the time and a message from my parents that they're going to be late.

Great.

…sent to me five minutes ago? How did I miss that message? I really need to fix that problem of mine…

"Hello? Are you still in there," Leila playfully waved her hand in front of my face.

"Yes. I am."

I stepped to the side of her annoying hand before leaving her alone in the room. The hall lights dimmed lightly with my shadow barely following me. Taking soft steps as I made my way towards the break room, my eyes on the ground as staring ahead kind of scared me. Especially with how crappy these lights were.

The break room, as expected, was lightly populated with some coworkers playing the typical card game and the TV left on with no one watching it. Seeing as I didn't know when I will be picked up, I might as well eat something despite how late it is.

The smell of popcorn filled the room as it popped in the microwave. I was leaning against the counter when the rest of my coworkers left the room, just leaving me alone with the sounds of the TV, my hunger, and the sound of popcorn. It wouldn't have bother me until my brain decided to remind me of the blurry figures and how I never figured out what the hell they were.

"Gee…thanks a lot brain," I grumbled to myself, gripping my phone tightly. "You just need to go and remind me of that."

The beeping of the microwave scared the crap out of me. I turned around to open the microwave door and my fear vanished quickly once I smelled the scent of cooked buttered popcorn. I pinched the tip of the bag with my fingers to avoid burning them, but soon I opened the bag and plopped a few freshly cooked popcorn in my mouth. I walked over to the couch, sat down and my hand reaching towards the remote to change the channel.

AaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

I froze on my spot. My head slowly turning towards the door of the breakroom.

"W-Was that a…," I feel fear clench tightly around me as that's the number one thing you don't want to hear late at night. …It sounded like a child's scream.

I find myself suddenly jolting up from the couch and taking my popcorn with me for no reason, I rushed to the area where the scream generated from. My mind racing frantically as this had to be a prank or some kid got lost and was doing what some kids will do when they get lost: cry.

I ran out of the break room, and straight down the hall. I kept running until I stop in front of a door that led to an extra storage area and was restricted to employees only. So this had to be a kid who just wandered in on accident, or at worst, it's a filthy prank from a coworker. Please just let it be a prank actually for once…

Taking a deep breath, I shakily reach the handle and grip on the knob. Please let it be a prank…

I then open the door.

The bag of popcorn fell out of my hands as my mouth gaped on what I was seeing. Well I found the kid, or really two kids, twins really, sitting in the middle of the room with…No way…no freaking way. I must be dreaming right now.

This can't be happening.

No way am I seeing Zarbon, Dodoria, and the entire freaking Ginyu Force and…and…and Frieza?! I only mentally fangirled for one second. One second. Then I began to freak out.

Not only should this be impossible but it didn't help that one, these guys could easily kill us; and two, I had two innocent and young kids sitting there and scared out of their minds. As to the impossible, they were arguing about something but they stopped immediately and turned their heads toward my direction once they realized I just showed up out of the blue. My face turned red as a tomato.

"And who might you be," Frieza said coldly and smoothly after a long period of awkward silence. Holy crap did he sound like the DBZ Kai dub.

"U-Uh," came out of my stupid mouth and I mentally face palm. We're going to die by my stupidity. "A-An E-Earthling?"

"Is that a question or an answer?" He glared his eyes down which motioned me that he was already losing his patience with my sheer stupidity. WHY IS THIS EVEN HAPPENING?!

"An answer Frieza," I quickly spit out.

Never have I wanted to punch myself so hard in my life as I was hoping to keep my knowledge on them hidden for some time. But then again…lying would have killed me too…

The most shivering cold silence ensued the room as even the twins grew deathly silent as their eyes came on me. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu-

"And how would you know my name already miss," Frieza asked as he peered down at me once again. His voice containing an odd mixture of confusion and amusement.

"W-Well…you see…," I trailed off as my brain farted on how to explain this.

So being the idiot I am, fumbled to get my iPhone out. Muttering nonsense to myself as I still can't believe I was searching these guys up when they're right in front of me. I searched up Frieza for convenience, I guess, and walked over to them. My hands shook violently as I held the screen in front of them. Zarbon ripped it out of my hand where I immediately took that as my cue to go back to where I originally stood at. I could actually breathe again back at my spot but my hands wouldn't stop shaking. My throat felt dry and if this room was deathly silent I bet you could hear my heart pounding like crazy.

Eventually Ginyu showed it over to Frieza who still maintained his frozen face. So while those guys were busy breaking down the fact their lives are nothing but mere creations of some guy's imagination, my eyes wandered over to the twins who had their eyes locked on me. I adverted my gaze from theirs but I felt awful for doing so. My immediate question was how the hell these two even got here in the first place, but I shove that to the back of my mind as I begin to think how I could help them escape from this hellhole right now.

"This news is certainly most unsettling…," Frieza voice cut my thoughts away as I move my eyes back up to him. On his hand was my phone where the screen shined on his face.

I stayed quiet as I really didn't know how to respond seeing this guy is super picky on what people say. Basically everybody around him are absolute masters on what to say around this guy.

"How much do you know about the Frieza Force," he asks. I feel my blood run slightly cold and I slightly begin to freak as I don't know where he is going with this question.

"I-It's rather limited from what I have seen from the show and manga…," I stammer a bit before shoving my fear back to at least sound somewhat confident. "I-I k-know a f-few soldiers under your army, and a little on how it functions-"

"That will be enough," Frieza cut me off.

"Okay," I squeaked quietly back.

He then began to murmur along with Zarbon and Dodoria, my mind scrambling to know what they were discussing. My eyes shifted back down to the kids who I am praising for staying quiet through all of this but I just wanted them to get out. Now. But how? There's no way these guys will let us out alive-

"Yes…," Frieza said loudly, once again interrupting my thoughts. "This information could be quite useful…"

His eyes connected with mine for only a few seconds and a tight smile formed on his face before I adverted my eyes away, and a wave of dread came over me. No…no…no way…he couldn't possibly be-

"I would be enlighten to have you in my organization- Oh my! I believe I haven't learned your name yet."

I wanted to start crying.

"M-Maria…," I reply quietly.

All of their eyes turned towards me with the Ginyu Force showing clear signs of shock while Frieza continued to speak but I wanted them to go away. To stop looking at me. I want to collapse on the ground and curl up into a pathetic ball.

This can't be happening.

"Lord Frieza, how do we plan to go back to our dimension," Ginyu asked, catching me off guard and pausing my near panic attack and the tears that were threatening to fall down to stop.

What? Different dimension? What are they talking about it?

"Hopefully the mechanics will fix the malfunctions of the machine that caused all of this because they know the consequences if they don't."

All my curiosity and confusion was thrown out the window once Frieza brought his attention back to me where I slowly felt myself break down inside again. Oh no…what did he want or what is he going to say?

"Lord Frieza, what about the small fries," Dodoria motioned towards the twins. I swear my heart skipped a beat.

Frieza gave a bored expression before saying: "Kill them. They won't be any use to me."

The twin's eyes swelled up with terror and tears as it seemed they already knew they couldn't escape their certain doom. I stood there like a dumbass as Dodoria raised his hand up to send a devastating attack and-

"WAIT! DON'T KILL THEM," I shout suddenly before clamping my mouth shut with my own hands. Taken aback by myself and for Dodoria actually listening to me.

"And why not," Frieza spoke with a hint of dryness and impatience. "What use do they have to me and why even bother saving something so insignificant?"

"Like hiring me," I thought to myself.

"S-Sorry for s-shouting b-but s-surely no one will believe them that all of t-this e-even happened-"

"I simply do not care. I want to leave this whole entire mess behind and they are no use for me whatsoever."

"B-B-But perhaps they can contribute to your organization once their older!" I was practically spitting out junk but I couldn't bear to see children killed in front of me. "L-Like become m-mechanics or s-something else that's useful to you!"

Frieza seemed almost angry but before he could do anything to what I assume to either me or the twins, it seemed a bright light enveloped us. I could see nothing. I could hear nothing but myself. It felt like I couldn't breathe until it seemed I was whisked away.

"I swear I heard it from here," a worker exclaimed, opening the door to the extra storage. Walking inside the room with a few other workers following behind him. "I swear I heard a commotion in this room!"

"There's nothing here you idiot! You're just hearing things again," one of the worker's said with a scowl on her face.

"Well I wouldn't be so sure…," another said, bending down and picking something up from the floor.

He straighten himself up before holding out what he picked up so the others can see. It was a name tag. One of their own tags in fact. On it with in fine print it read: Maria _

I found myself breathing once again and feeling relieved once the light died down. That relief was short lived when I soon realized the smell of a fire being put out and the thousands of stares around me. Slowly I looked around me to see multiple mechanics and soldiers, Frieza Force members, staring at us ranging from expressions of shock or confusion. This was actually happening…this was actually real…

"L-Lord Frieza," one of the mechanics squawked nervously as he stepped forward. "F-Forgive f-for the e-earlier miscalculation! We d-didn't b-believe it would act-"

He never finished as Frieza shot a Death Beam through his chest, dropping to the floor as a pool of blood formed beneath him. The twins cried out in terror, my eyes flicking back towards them to see them hug each other tighter and visibly shake in fear. I slowly looked back at Frieza who had a satisfying smirk across his face as he looked down at the two terrified children.

"Now that is set aside, is the machine still functioning," Frieza asked calmly, turning his gaze to another mechanic.

"N-No my L-Lord…It exploded on us before you and the rest of your men showed miraculously…"

"Such a shame really. I did wonder what new territories I would have had the pleasure of conquering but I can see now that I can set those plans aside as thanks to your malfunction, I have found a new prize."

His eyes came back to me and boy did I really feel like I was turned to stone as I stood there frozen stiff.

"Fortunately for you, it seems luck is by your side as I will let your small outbursts slide for now but don't try to believe you will get away with that behavior again. As for these younger ones…I will ensure them in your care. Don't give me that look, you're the one who wanted to preserve their lives so I'm leaving them to your care. Don't worry, you should be able to manage your new duties and loyalties and their care perfectly fine."

I wanted to snap back at him so badly but I kept my mouth shut. Fear kept my rage back and put me in line. I could only stare at him before slowly nodding to his terms. He gave me that fake heartfelt smile I remember seeing him give to the Namekian elder in the manga.

"Well now Maria…Welcome to the Frieza Force."

Roll credits. Fun fact: parts of this chapter was from the dream. Everything else after this is not.
