AN: A really short outtake that didn't make the first chapter. This is what happened just after Emmett leaves in chapter 1

My phone vibrated in my pocket I pulled it out and opened my text from Alice.

Hey B, You home?~A

Sure am ;-)~B

The house landline started ringing. I laughed and picked up the wireless.

"Hi Alice."

"What? Who'd you know it was me?" I giggled. Alice and I grew up together in Forks, she was my best friend (even before Liam). She knew everything about me.

"Okay, don't answer that. But you will never guess who moved in down the street? Wait, hang on. ABBEY! Get your feet off the table! Oh don't give me that look." I laughed harder. Abbey was Alice and Jaspers 9 year old daughter. She has the attitude of her mother and the looks of her father. A real handful. Alice an Jasper married right out of high school, they also had a 3 year old boy, Jordan, the cutest thing in the world.

"Sorry Bella, Abbey's sick, but that's no excuse to put her feet on the table, ya know what I'm sayin'. Anyway, so you will never believe who moved 3 doors down." She paused, I already knew the answer. I'm Forks, news like the return of Edward Cullen spreads like Wild Fire.

"Okay so don't guess. Edward Cullen moved into the house three doors down from us!' the little squell down the receiver added to her excitement.

"Word on the street is his mother's sick and he just got divorced. Did you know he was married to Tayna Denali? Can you believe it! Tanya-Fucking-Denali." Okay so she knew everything about me…but I was never one to gossip. So I played along. Really, it was for my benefit more than hers.

"Yeah, I knew he moved in. Mom has invited him over for dinner while-" I never got to finish that sentence.

"You what? You. Isabella Newton . Are going to have dinner. In the same room as Edward Cullen. I never thought I'd see the day! How'd this happen?"

I sighed "We'll Em saw Edward in Seattle, they got talking Em found out he was in Forks. Emmett then told mom this, mom apparently proceeded to stalk Edward around Forks just to invite him to dinner. We are now having dinner Saturday night."

You could almost hear her bouncing in the other end "Who's we?"

"Me, Kenzie, Charlie, Rose, Em, Mom and…Edward?"

"Huh. Well can we add an Alice, Jasper, Abbey and Jordy to that list?" She sounded hopeful.

Fell back on the couch looking to the roof groaning. "Uh, I don't think so Ali."

"Damn, I'd love to be a fly on the wall in that room, my beat is you will be able to cut the tension with a knife, but like a blunt knife"

"Thanks Alice, I really needed to be reminded of that" That was the end of our Edward conversation. We talked more about Family, work and my upcoming trip to Forks. I really missed Alice, at least now I had something to look forward to.
