"How is it possible

to exist without

a sense of wonder?"

This gnaws

at the back of Kyo's mind

because, as Tohru says,

There's something people lack:

a kind of warmth, a kind of innocence,

unmarred by cynicism.

Kyo has long forgotten

what it means to view

the world from the

rosy tinted, glitter painted, sunkissed, clear sky

opening your eyes

and

guiding you toward the path that makes

the most sense.

And so many of the paths Kyo crossed

had similar outcomes:

all the blood sweat tears,

all the bruises scrapes broken bones

all the chipped teeth split lips black eyes

all the memories, painful and terrifying.

Somehow, his path was guided by Tohru

and if Kyo believed in

a higher power existing,

then Tohru's endless patience compassion purity messiness desire for approval

was the first step in

reconciling divinity with reality.
