A/N and Disclaimer: I don't own Crossing Jordan, any of the characters, or
the plotline. They are all owned by NBC. This poem, in actuality, is a type
of synopsis of the "John Doe" episode in Season Two. Long live the newly-
arrived Season Three!

Dr. Mahesh Vijayaraghavensatyanaryanamurthy

The man across the room you see
Leaning over a stack of papers,
May not be what he seems.
An Indian kid from Liverpool.

He moved to America to study
To become a pediatrician,
Until he realized children hated him.
Now he works at the Boston Coroner's Office.

A boy is sent in;
Beaten to death.
That man becomes obsessed
With finding out who killed him,
And who the boy was.
Another call comes in;
This time a police officer.
Many believe that is top priority,
Instead of finding who killed a minority.

He becomes quieter;
His friends are wondering.
He follows the lead,
Ending up at a bar
Where he finds a man with size thirteen boots.

A few days later,
He disappears.
Lily only finds a note
That says "I DON'T BELONG"

The coroners start a frantic search
For their cherished friend.
The only clue he left behind
Was that he said he related
To the boy who was killed.

No one understood,
Yet they still searched.
Jordan tells no one
He put the booted man
In the hospital
After fighting in the bar.

Days passed,
And they found him in a cage,
Where he had watched others dig his grave.
An officer who had shunned him before,
Now cared for his feelings.

His friends had discovered
The booted man was running
A slave camp for Central Americans.
There was only one thing left to do,
And that was to tell the girlfriend
Her loved one was dead.

So, when you see that man
Across the room,
Do not judge him by the color of his skin.
He is a hardworking man,
Called "Bug" by his friends.
