A Drop From a Rose

She ran to the tree, gasping, her face was wet with tears. She

silently let her emotions swallow her as she remembered what happened.

Her head throbbed as she closed her eyes leaning her whole body against

the tree. Unwillingly sobs escaped her body, the wind blew lightly, as

if trying to cheer her up after the horror.

Every breath she took.

It hurt her heart.

Everything she looked at.

Would bring her to more tears.

She was weak

She was tired.

But the only one thing kept on haunting her. It was her first year

again, torture, ridicule, images, him haunting her. Suffocating her,

she open her eyes, hastily wiped tears off. If only...but she was sick

of those two words...if only...the past can never be rewritten without

consequences. But because of her, she killed the only person she

loved. In the mist of trying to save him, pain and anger surged threw

her. Why? She thought, why did she have to be so selfish? If she had

just let it be. Instead of messing with everything. Things would've

been better. She buried her head in her hands, everything stopped no

wind, no sound from the oceans. Her tears stopped, only thing she

realized was the locket on her chest. She lifted her head, letting it

glint in the sun. He had given it to her, the first Christmas together.

Without notice a tear rolled down her cheek, instinctively she wiped

it off. She bit her lip, a long sigh escaped her. Her hand glided on

the grass lightly. Here was where they shared their first kiss. Where

they first told one another how they felt. Where he had proposed to

her.

Her body shook, footsteps where coming. She knew what was going to

happen. She ignored them, she only stared out into the lake, her body

tensed, but for only a mere second you barely noticed. They were

standing right behind her. She felt one of them grab her by the arm,

she didn't look at them. Only looked at the tree one last time. She

could see the mark where he left for her on Valentine's Day. They

pulled her arm, she stared at the mark as she was dragged off. A small

smile came to her lips. Staring at the mark as they rounded a corner.

4-ever

Yes, she thought, we will always be together forever. She looked up

at the sky, and her smile grew as she noticed the sun was coming out.

She walked on her own now, following them, her head down she followed.

Then she noticed something gently drop in front of her. A petal, she

laughed, a rose petal. One of them looked at her weird, but said

nothing. He gave her one on that day he put that mark. Where it will

always stay in her heart until they were joined together once again...
