Chapter 1:
Levi's POV:
Levi watched as the newest members of the survey corps marched off. After the whole Annie incident, he just wanted to relax. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like that's going to happen anytime soon. The captain was irritable because he had received yet another assignment from Erwin. Yeah, and right after I had to save Yeager's sorry ass like that. He would've failed everyone if I hadn't been there. Even if he is Humanity's Hope, he's still just a newbie. Sure, I'm probably one of the best soldiers the Survey Corps (or Scouting Legion) have got, but I'm still human. I'm not invincible. Despite all this, he couldn't help but express some interest in his latest assignment. Heh. Even if it means working overtime, I think this assignment could be very interesting, to say the least. He walked off and headed toward a large building. There, he met with a group of soldiers. "Let's go". He and his soldiers entered the stairwell that led to Rose's Underground. Looks like I'm home.
Rei's POV:
"Damn it!" Rei was running through the hard, stone streets wearing a large coat. She looked quickly behind her.
I can't keep this up for long, she thought.
She took a shortcut down an alley, then took a sharp left turn. Someone was chasing her from above, but who?
Are they the Military Police? No, they can't be. These people are too skilled, and tose guys don't even bother to come down here. Why would they? They aren't the Garrison either. Could it be…yes…it's got to be them! The Survey Corps! Damn. I don't have a chance on foot then. Looks like I don't have any choice but to use it. On three. One…Two…Three! She let her coat fall to the ground. Underneath, she revealed the 3DMG she was carrying. Here I go, she thought.
Levi's POV:
Watching from above, Levi saw that the target of his assignment was quickly lengthening the gap between herself and his squad.
Rei Anderson. 16 years old. Location: Wall Rose's underground. Tch. She just had to be from this hell hole.
Levi saw her take a shortcut down an alley, and followed her.
This girl's freaking superhuman. She's fast, and she doesn't seem like a total idiot. But even so, she's got to stop and rest at some time.
He saw the girl slow down. Now's my chance. But what he saw next almost made him lose control of his Maneuvering Device. He watched as the girl ("Rei") let her coat fall to the ground. Strapped to her belt, he saw what they were after.
So she really does have 3DMGt too! Hmm. Looks like we're finally going to meet face to face then, Rei Anderson. I just hope you know what you're doing with that gear there. I want this fight to be as interesting as possible.
