Powers: Absorption capabilities analogous to Rogue's, though Dice can control her power. Extremely powerful intellect made more so by latent and subconscious telepathic abilities. High level of speed and agility, though this is a result of training, not mutation.
Weapons: Well trained in the art of fencing, so capable in foil, epee, and the medieval light sword. Self-trained with wakizashi and daggers. Carries a number of small bladed weapons on her person. Also makes use of a light staff.
History: Dice attended a posh private school from the age of eleven on, taking interest in the school's combat classes and becoming a champion of the fencing mat as well as hand-to-hand combat arts. She did well in her classes because of her subconscious use of telepathy and her naturally powerful mind. During a Tae Kwon Do match in her junior year, the stress caused her powers to manifest. The boy she was fighting was rendered unconscious by her touch, and she was expelled for cheating. Her parents refused to accept her back into the house, and revoked her access to her trust fund. Penniless and alone, she wandered around White Plains, New York until the X-Man Nightcrawler--who had seen her fence at a tournament and wondered what happened to the academy's brightest student--brought her back to Westchester badly in need of companionship and socialization. She found friends in a number of the older mutants, and was able to complete her high school education at the Institute.
Notes: Dice learned to control her power living on the streets of White Plains. She found that she could project her absorption ability a short distance. She's still prone to bursts of uncontrollable explosions of her power, predominantly in sleep, which produce a sphere of absorptive power around her body. Professor Xavier hopes to help her build shielding around her powers so they lie dormant when she is not consciously controlling them.
