"Are your eyes really closed, Sanders?" Sara asked as she guided him out of her apartment and down the stairs.
"Yes," Greg replied, tripping slightly as he made his way down the stairs. "See? I'd like to live to see my next birthday, Sara."
"Shut up," Sara said, taking a more firm grip of his arms, then leading him out the front doors.
"Sara, there wasn't anything out here when I drove up. Are you sure my gift is out here?"
"You will see in one second, calm down." Sara replied, grinning as she saw that Nick had come through and dropped off the present while she occupied Greg.
Sara guided Greg down the stoop, then across the lawn, and turned him to face the street. "Open your eyes!" She said, removing her hands.
Greg opened his eyes slowly, and then his mouth dropped open.
"Oh, my God!" Greg said, taking off in a run towards his gift. "This is…this is the car from the case!" Greg cried. "What? How did you – " Greg started, turning around to face Sara as she made her way to the car.
"The owner of the car rental shop was so grateful to get his precious car back intact that he told me anytime I needed a car, to let him know." Sara grinned as Greg opened the car door and slide in the driver's seat. "I saw the way you looked at this car." She teased.
"Jealous?" Greg teased back.
"Never. So are we going to take it for a spin or are you going to just sit in it?" Sara asked.
Greg grinned up at Sara, then hopped out of the car, escorted her to the passenger side, and opened the door for her.
"I've never seen you this happy before." Sara grinned. "Maybe I should be jealous."
"I loved this car from the moment I saw it, yes. But I loved you from the moment I saw you, too." Greg replied, grabbing her hand across the console.
