Christmas. To anyone else it was a time for family get-togethers and spending time with the ones you love. That was anyone except Sakura Haruno.

Her family? Dead.

Her friends? Ino was with her family, Naruto and Hinata were celebrating together, Shikamaru was in Sunna with Temari, Tenten and Neji were with the Hyuga's this year, and Sasuke…

Sasuke was gone.

He left. It was as simple as that…and yet complicated. She could still feel his breath on the back of her neck, she could still hear him saying her name, she could still feel the cold firmness of a stone bench beneath her light frame. It was almost like he never left and if she could hold on to these small things he left her, she would make it until he returned.

If he returned.

She sighed and curled up tighter. She was sitting on her couch in front of a crackling fire. It was late on Christmas day, and Sakura was alone. She had opened the presents that her friends had given her earlier that day.

From Naruto she got what else but a coupon for a bowl of free ramen at Ichiraku's. From Shikamaru she received a Shoji board. From Tenten she got some specialty kunai, perfect for sneak attacks. From Neji she received a new pair of gloves, because her old ones were fraying. Temari sent a delicate and beautiful fan, Hinata gave her a white flowered kimono, and Ino gave her perfumes. Hell, even Gaara sent her a Christmas gift, granted it was a jar filled with colored sand.

She shivered. She really needed to close that window. Sakura got up and walked over to her window. She looked out at the landscape her breath showing up in front of her face.

She leaned forward and rested her arms on the window sill. Her pink tresses fell forward going past her white nightgown. She could see an orchard of Cherry Trees, covered in snow. Like most years it snowed at Christmas time. She just stood and silently enjoyed the view from her window until she noticed a figure walking toward her.

The figure in black was silhouetted against the white snow. She studied the figure for a moment, and gasped. It couldn't be. It…it was impossible…

She climbed out of her window. Sakura just stood there, hands clasped in front of her chest, as the figure approached.

In a matter of seconds the figure was inches away from her.

"Sasuke!" She said as she gasped. He was…gorgeous.

He swooped down and pulled her into a deep kiss. She was shocked, and yet, it came as no surprise. She wrapped her arms around the back of his head as he picked her up bridal style. He carried her back into the house and set her back in the chair.

"Merry Christmas Sakura."

Merry Christmas indeed.

Hope you liked!! Merry Christmas to you all!
