LifE - death begins

Two players had their set of cards on their hands to battle on the table. About few feet away from them and near the door exit there was a middle aged man died because a single shot of bullet. One of them had a mask of a strange colored teddy that consist of monochrome and the other is maskless but emotionless. Their eyes are tucked on their cards, the only key for their fatality.

If the left one wins, he will leave the place through the door. But if the... right one, wins... The left player never got his answer, even after the man got shot right in front of him with no mercy nor respect. Left had his mission on set, and that is to win. He must win.

No matter what, Left must win. Or else he will sell his soul to the devil themselves right in front of him. To be frank, the game they playing at was simple and very childlike card game. Rummy.

All you had to do just over score your opponent card to win and end the game, yet, so easy and so hard to finished it. It was almost an hour full when they played the game, very much unknown how did they even survived so for. But right now...

Right began talking to ease the mood, which barely affecting Left; "My, my, my, aren't we quiet strong at Rummy? I thought card games were about luck, looks like they were wrong. Or maybe both of us were too lucky?"

Left never answered, he will never will to be exact.

Right scrunched their nose under that mask, even though it was barely showing them at all. Then they pulled out the 7 red hearts, "Should I start speaking for least silence in this room? Doesn't creep you a bit about that body suddenly moves on their own?" They points the pool blooded corpse.

Unfazed by his words, Left just attack him by 10 red hearts; causing him win this very round. Not an annoyance nor grin Right will show, well, not especially caused by that mask for all main problem for their face. The villain just chuckled sinisterly, making them more evil as ever.

Though it never affect Left, not ever and it will never will. Though, the only thing he done was placed a 3 blue diamond's card on the red cards. They were bored by the silence. Right begin want to done something stupid than ever, but they held back. Instead they starting to speaking, "Penalty game is this what all called." Putting down 5 blue diamond's card, he turned tables, again.

"So... I guess I forgot telling you on about what would happened if you LOSE. Will simple as hat, you won't escape here. Not at all, you will do as I command!" They sets down their Ace green clubs card and only to winning over the King. "Though, to be frank YOU too can command me anything you wanted too, but I doubt it would useful enough for your own good."

Right 9 red hearts was broken down with Left's Ace, irony it is, if remembering the previous card they used one against each other.

"Appears I'm playing with a heartless son? Was it Pinocchio or Blue beard again? Wait! Silly, silly me, what is their similarity of all things?!" Right kept jester while Left just placed his card.

Win and lose.

Lost and won.

Champion and loser.

Vise versa.

Vice and Virtue.

In the verge on losing in numbers, Left was being the winner of the wicked game. But the actually winner, is the one who lacks cards the most at the end of the game. Which was Left ace in the round.

"I'm winning..." Left thought. He doesn't feel any happiness, not a bit or an inch. There is no emotions in his heart. But he felt one strange warming feeling in his throat, or at the hands? But it was all ended when he need a card to draw.

Right throw a the ninth spades and he had none of that, just the green clubs and blue diamonds. When the boy grab one card from the pile he recieved yellow hearts, that's adding the cards weights. He doesn't had what need to fight with, so he draw another one.

But it was yellow hearts again.

Another draw, same results.

Again, repeated and more of the same...

Yellow hearts.

A joyful, yet ironically it brings him an agony. But luckily, he doesn't feel anything as usual. Nothing. Empty. Also hollow.

10 red spades.

Finally, he will turns the table. Or so he thought.

"I had about zero here, after I throw that card," Reffering the blue diamond piece on the table, Left eyes slowly widen. He know what happened, and it was clearly... that he was been cheated! He shot a glare to his enemy.

"You cheated." He spat.

They chuckle, rather in a mocking way. "Well, not really. Maybe you run out of luck."

"... I lost the game." Left looked to the ground.

"Oh, don't be sad there," Right leans closer to the boy, scattering the cards away. He playfully twirls his blonde locks. "Your punishment wouldn't be so bad you know!"

Left blankly stares to him, Right face was mirrored into those icy blues. "... I doubt that." He pushed the hand away; the masked figure just snorted and pulled him back to the seat again.

"That's quiet cruel for a guy like you, not even an alphabet was spoken and you're all being negative! No wonder your daddy never loves you or, was it the opposite?"

Left just stayed silent.

"Well..." Right was getting awkward with himself since Left barely express anything to him, it was almost like doing a one man show. It was rather embarrassing for him, even. "Well, then. You'll be my little mole!"

"... I can't be a mole." Left stated. Right snickered thinking the boy was joking, unknown to him that the silent one was being serious. He was still really taken aback on the 'fact' being a 'mole' literally, and currently thinking what kind of machine or technology making him into one.

"Now, let's just hope I'll get all the players in one piece! Ufufufu~...!" Right laughed.

"... Hurray...?" Left cheered for him. It was something you feel as nervous but, he rather more into 'concern' about the dead body. Looks like going to be hard to clean and burrying it, not to mention even.

Well, it's a long day and he had no promise with another people than Right. Then again, he *actually* didn't made one. Except with the man, there was one or two. But there's a problem.

'What was it again?' The boy tried to remember it.

Not right now, maybe later, or in the future days. If he survived that one bastards gameplay, if not he will never remember the promise with the old man he loved.

Well, if he did loved that man before and now, still.
