Akimi grew up as a hidden child, born and raised a vampire hunter. She was hidden because of a curse her father had put on him by a pureblood vampire named Asuka. The vampire managed to curse him with her last dieing breath.

"Cross Kaien, any child you bear will be a cursed child, she may be born human, but a pureblood Kuran will turn her to a pureblood through this curse. My blood will become hers." Asuka said in her last breath.

"Ayame, I'm sorry, my love." Kaien said to his lover, who was pregnant with his child.

"Cross, even though our child may be cursed, it's still our child. I want you to train her like we planed, and protect with what we can." Ayame replied calmly.

"Alright. We will do our best."

Sixteen years later. Ayame has been murdered, for taking the blame of killing a pureblood, for her husband and child.

"Dad, can I please attend the school you've started?" Akimi asked for the tenth time that day.

" No, you know the dangers." Kaien answered his pleading daughters question, yet again.

"Dad, you know I can protect myself. You trained me to be able to. Plus I can just avoid him. Its not impossible, and I would be willing to be a prefect. I can help, and it would give Yuuki a chance to relax. Just for a day, week, or night even. Just, please?"

"I'll think about it" He answered with a sigh.

"Yay! Thank you dad! Can you try to approve of it tonight?" she replied energetically.

"Wait, hold on just one second. I never said yes. That's not up to me alone."

"I know, it makes me happy to know you'll ask." Akimi said as she left the dinning room part of the hidden house.

"Ayame, I'm so sorry, I can't protect her from everything. She's going to meet him no matter what." 'In time.' "Neither of us can stop it. Your gone and I can't say no to her. I've never been able to." Kaien said with a sigh under his breath, while looking at a picture of Ayame holding Akimi, and himself next to her.

' I really hope he talks to Zero. I want to know whom I am supposed to protect myself from and meet Yuuki. Plus I can see how many vampires I can piss off.' Akimi thought to herself as she headed to her room.

At Cross Academy. The next day.

"Zero. I want you to look over an application." Kaien said to one of his adopted teens.

"I already did, you gave it to me last night at midnight. Remember?" Zero replied

"Oh, that's right. So what do you think?"

"It's fine. Although are you sure you want her to be a prefect?"

"I'm sure."

"Will she be alright? Isn't she just a normal human?"

"I am positive she'll be alright. Also no she is not just a normal human. She knows about vampires and the hunters. Just as she should being my birth daughter and all."

"She's your daughter?" Zero asked a little skeptically.

"Yes, I raised her. Her mother died for a wrong I did, so she knows how to kill them also."

"It's alright then."

The next day.

"Dad! Did you talk to him? Did you?" Akimi asked Kaien enthusiastically.

"Yes, I did." Her father said in a teasing tone, waiting to tell her the news.

"And?" she asked waiting for an answer.

His face dropped in fake sadness. She thought he was going to say she couldn't and slumped asking "Is it that bad?"

"No of course not!" he said then smiled and told her she could go.

"Yes!" she squealed.

"You will arrive at seven o'clock tomorrow."

"Okay, I'll go pack" she said to her father and left with a hug.
