Kisses
A BBE One-shot
DISCLAIMER: I OWN ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING. HARRY POTTER ETC. IS THE PROPERTY OF THE BRILLIANT J.K. ROWLING.
Summary: Summer at the Snape home sees a lot of smiles... and a lot of kisses.
A/N Yeah! It's another, useless one shot/epilogue thingie. This one is in celebration of Sev and Hermione's wedding(if you remember from the story that's on the 27). However, I wasn't able to get up quite on time. You can blame that on my sisters' wedding on saturday. I've got about three of these left, so I'll probably post the next one on the two year anniversary of BBE, and the other two next June and July. Happy reading... and reviewing? Pretty please? With Sugar on top?
Hermione was curled on the porch swing with Tony, watching as Sev played with the older children in the back yard. Rus and Alli, now five and three respectively, were hanging desperately onto their father as he tried to launch them off his back. After Rus fell, Sev reached around to swing Alli easily into his arms, laughing as he did so. She giggled in the way only a child can and reached her tiny arms around his neck in a hug. Rus sat impatiently in the grass, waiting for them to finish so they could start the game again. Much to his disappointment, Severus begged off another round, choosing instead to join Hermione on the swing.
"How's the little one today?" Severus asked as he reached to take the sleeping infant out of Hermione's arms.
Hermione smiled tenderly, kissing his soft downy head, before passing him off. "He's about active as a turtle. I've never seen such a quiet baby."
"Makes you wonder what happened to the other two," Severus said, laughing as Rus and Alli began running in circles for no apparent reason. "They're the most energetic children in existence, I'm sure."
Hermione laughed as well shaking her head slowly, "Severus, you really need to get out a little. They're actually pretty mellow in comparison to a lot of kids. Be grateful they're not Fred and George."
"Thank goodness for that. I never want redheaded kids."
At that, Hermione swatted his arm, snorting as she did so. "You absolutely adore Molly's many grandchildren, and a great deal of them are redheaded. I don't know where your mouth is getting it's ideas."
Severus merely shrugged, throwing a wide smile her way. "You know you love it."
"You know what?" Hermione whispered conspiratorially. "I do. I love every part of you, no matter how ridiculous."
"Really?" Sev said, leaning in close. "Because it just so happens, I love you too."
"Perfect," Hermione answered, just before Sev's lips fell on hers.
"Mum!" Rus complained loudly at the sight of his parents kissing.
Hermione looked over at her young son, grinning at his disgusted face. She lightly stepped off the swing, pulling a reluctant Rus into a hug.
"I think you must want one too," Hermione teased.
"Mum," Rus protested, squirming in her arms, "Mum, let me go."
"Just one, Sevie," she said, putting on her best puppy eyes.
Finally, after glaring at his mother for almost a full, minute, Rus leaned in and kissed her quickly. "Now can I go? Teddy will be here in a minute."
"I guess so," Hermione said, kissing his cheek again before, letting him go. "But don't think we're done yet, baby boy. You've got at least a good thirty years of kisses ahead, probably more."
Rus shuddered, but a small smile was creeping over his lips. Hermione smiled in return and ruffled his hair gently. A slight tugging at her leg, brought her attention to Alli, waiting expectantly.
"Me too, Mummy," she said with a smile. "I want kisses too."
A/N Hope you enjoyed it, in all it's pointlessness. Also I've mentioned the sequel, featuring Rus, and that I would post it soon... well... I'm still working on it. I'm hoping it will be my next project just as soon as I finish A Second Chance. Wish me luck!
