I don't own warriors. I do own this story.

Chapter 1

"Hang In there, Oakblossom. The kits are almost here." Moonshadow mewed. The queen was in pretty bad shape.

Kestrelfoot, her mate, pushed through the nursery entrance. He looked down at the kitting queen, then the medicine cat.

"Sister. Is there anything else you can do?" Kestrelfoot asked Moonshadow, his sister. Moonshadow looked to the ground and shook her head. Kestrelfoot let out a wail of grief. The star's seemed to fade in shame.

"K-kestrelfoot. You see the kits? The girl is Lightkit for the light I see now. And he is Darkkit for the feeling inside of you. I love you Kestrelfoot. Remember me." Oakblossom mewed weakly. Her breathing got shallower and shallower until it stopped altogether. Kestrelfoot wailed so hard it looked like the star's had heard. The kit's started to mewl.

"Lightkit. You'll get your milk. So will you Darkkit." Kestrelfoot cooed to the kits. Moonshadow walked up to the leader's den and told Rosestar.

"Bring them to Waterheart. She will nurse them." Rosestar meowed close to wailing as well. Oakblossom was very nice to her when her brother (Toadfoot, and most of the other cats accept for a few warriors, Kit's and apprentices,) was killed in the second badger attack. Moonshadow nodded. She walked down the rock path and into the nursery.

"Kestrelfoot. Help me carry them to Waterheart." Moonshadow ordered. Kestrelfoot nodded and picked up Lightkit. Lightkit mewed in protest and started batting her paws in the air. Waterheart looked up surprisingly ready to fight. Her eyes softened as she saw the kits in Kestrelfoot's and Moonshadow's mouth.

"Who's are they?" Waterheart mewed. Kestrelfoot looked to his dead mate's body in the clearing and looked back at Waterheart. Waterheart bowed her head in sympathy.

"We need you to nurse them. They have no mother. Oakblossom died of blood lose." Moonshadow meowed. Waterheart nodded.

"What are their names?" Waterheart asked. Kestrelfoot looked at her.

"The cream and white dappled is Lightkit. The Black and grey tabby is Darkkit." Kestrelfoot meowed.

"How am I to act like their father?" Kestrelfoot fumed.

"You do know that Pineheart was put to rest. He was to sick." Waterheart mewed; holding back tears. "And Pulcrokit and Dulcekit haven't opened there eyes yet."

"Why did you choose those names?" Moonshadow asked.

"My mother and I where rouges remember? My mother met this cat that spoke 'Spain-ish' and he taught her what Sweet and Spruce meant. Pulcro means spruce and Dulce means sweet. Get it?" she asked playfully. Moonshadow and Kestrelfoot nodded. They set the kit's down by Waterheart and left the nursery. They held vigil for Oakblossom all night.

Should I make this a hurt and comfort story with a little horror or a lot?
