FINN'S POV

It was the day my family left our house. Mum and dad would not tell me anything. Why are my parents always so secretive? I am an only child which really sucks and the only friend I have is my dog Jake. I have had Jake ever since he was a puppy I got him from the rescue centre. All I hear is mum crying, I am in my room packing everything I can possibly carry. I have no idea where we are going but I hope it will be a safe place.

The next thing I know dad's in my room. He asks me if I am ready to leave I say yes. We are at the dock my dad keeps his boat on. He catches and sells fish to the locals for 500¥ a fish. Mum is still sobbing and dad whispers to me: 'We are going to a lovely place called Summer Bliss Beach'. Hopefully it's as nice as it sounds.

We hop into our boat and dad's trying to start the motor. After ten pulls it started. Dad hugs mum and me and says I love you both and everything is going to be ok. It took a bit of effort to get Jake into the boat.

It has been a few days now and I keep asking dad when we will get there. After about a trillion times of asking dad finally says we should be there tomorrow but there is a problem there is a storm coming and the waves are getting really big and its getting windy and ice cold.

Oh no there is a really big wave coming and Jake can't hold onto anything because he has paws not hands. I am holding onto him with one hand and with the other hand onto the side of the boat.

I close my eyes and hold as tight as possible. After the wave was gone I thought everyone was safe but I couldn't see anything it was so dark.

I woke up at about 5 am which is really early. I usually wake up at 10 am but that didn't matter - something's wrong. Jake my only best friend the dog I have known all my life has been washed into the sea. Mum and dad are awake sitting next to me trying to calm me down. We spent 3 hours looking for Jake but there was no sign of him. Mum and dad said we had to keep going so we did.

After 15 minutes of driving towards Summer Bliss Beach I hear barking. I beg mum and dad to take a right turn so dad did it. It took a lot of convincing but he did and I saw Jake floating on the water.

Mum and dad said not to go in the water but I couldn't help myself I had to go into the water to save my best friend so I jumped in. I swam to him and pulled her by him collar and I got mum to bring me a net to pull him onto the boat.

Mum and dad were unimpressed with what I had done to save Jake but they knew how much I love him.

We are about half an hour away it has been a long day and Jake has just laid down and has had a long sleep.

In the distance I can see a beach with people waving at us. There are lots of houses and buildings. We arrive and I see a pink girl in a pink dress sitting next to a palm tree with a row boat leaning against the tree. The girl was watching the sun set. Jake and I go over and sit next to her.

She asks me what my name is I say Finn. She says her name is princess Bubble Gum. She says to me "welcome to Summer Bliss Beach" and she hugs me.

I hope to see her again one day…..
