An Elf's Courage by LanarielM
My days have been endless
But now I'm left to stow
My life and my belongings
My courage and my bow
Off to Rivendell I gallop
Haste pondering my heart
Future tidings perturb me
From this Life will I part?
On the table it stands
Glinting in its glory
It shines to us all
Its terrible story
The ring must be destroyed
And I shall see it through
With my bow, my life, my courage
And assistance just and true
Painstaking journey
Caradhas is hard to endure
The leaking of the ring
Is seeping out to lure
It took his hand
His heart, his mind!
Amon hen alas he fell
But a hero's death he did succeed
His memory stays proud to tell
Bonds have broken
Snapped at the ends
But not unless we hunt those orcs
Who have snatched our Fellowship friends!
