Please don't take this seriously--it's purely for fun.

The two men hurry down the stairs as fast as they can, pushed forward by the approaching voices, hoping that they are distracted enough not to catch glimpses of their disappearing heads.

"Wow," the distant male voice says. "You work in a museum and you live in one…"

"What clever repartee," mutters Riley. "She must really like him!"

Ben tries not to roll his eyes as they duck into separate hiding places; the door creaks open and Abigail examines the tampered alarm system with a spark of curiosity, and maybe if he's a lucky guesser, recognition. What's a chance, right? He steps into the light, that winning smile splashed upon his face and unfortunately not mirrored upon hers.

Not only is he physically lower than Abigail and Connor, but he feels so mentally after that look she gives him. His mind is barely on their terse greeting and pseudo Spanish Inquisition. It was rather lucky, he thinks, that he guessed to bring the box along.

"How'd you get in, Ben?" she says slowly, dangerously, and it forces his reply to flee in terror.

"Riley! Come out here!" For once, Ben wishes that she would not show her emotions so openly, that perhaps she could lie and spare them both some trouble; God knows they have enough after the lecture.

"Hey!" Stepping from his hiding spot, Riley is the only one present with some semblance of a grin remaining. "What're you—"

Connor chuckles, not just once, but over again, the kind that gets stifled and resurfaces ten times in a second. Effectively it erases that last smile, and all eyes are glued to him. "My, my, my…" he sighs, shaking his head. "Look who just came out of the closet!"

Silence is kept. Riley waits for someone to vouch for him.

Finally Ben arches an eyebrow and drops the box with a thud. "And you're dating him why?"

In the distance, though no one pays him any regard, a strained voice is yelling "CUT!"

A/N: Whenever I see that scene now, that's the only thing I'll be able to think of. Maybe they're trying to tell us something…or not…(I know they're not).

Reviewing is fun!
