Example of my writing style (if you do not like this style, please don't request):
Love was something that she always hoped for. Any girl her age would want romance, like how it was portrayed in the beloved princess stories of her childhood. Lucy gave a small sigh, smoothing out the uncanny wrinkles in her skirt.
The concept of love seemed so far away, especially when she was constantly surrounded by egg-heads like Natsu and Gray.
"Oi bastard! Fight me!"
Exactly my point, Lucy thought, resting her head in her palm. Gray responded to the challenge by promptly taking his shirt off. The blond haired girl tried to mentally block out the sounds of fighting and the cheers egging them on, but it was to no avail.
Mira, who had noticed Lucy's exasperated expression, came over. "What's wrong?"
Lucy gave a small pout, taking her anger out on a small strawberry still left in her parfait. "I want to go on dates and have romance, but every time my date sees my Fairy Tail mark, they leave! It doesn't help that Fairy Tail is infamous for its ability to destroy everything."
Mira gave a soft smile, not seeing any problem in that. "Then why don't you just date someone from the guild?" There was a sly undertone to her voice that went unnoticed by the blond.
"Someone from the guild?!" Lucy turned to look at the on-going fight, before turning back to the bartender and wringing her hands in exasperation. "Just look at them!" she complained, banging her head in desperation against the table. "They-they're- oh gosh!" Lucy shrieked when Elfman punched a guild member right into her table.
Within moments, the brawl between Gray and Natsu turned into a huge battle. It brought back memories of when she first arrived.
"See my point Mira?"
"Yo, Luce! How're you doing?" a cheeky fire dragonslayer landed on what remained of her table, and interrupted before Mira could open her mouth.
"That's rude, Natsu!" Lucy scolded. "Mira and I were having a conversation!" Sadly, what she said just seemed to go in one ear and go out the other. Natsu shrugged.
"Whoa, gotta go before Gray beats me!" And before the annoyed celestial mage could reply, Natsu swooped in and placed his lips gently oh Lucy's cheek. He left the flustered mage behind, holding her cheek and spluttering as chaos raged around her.
"There's your answer," Mira smiled; Lucy bit her lip, and managed a small smile. Perhaps the love she was hoping for wasn't that far away afterall.
