A Epic One-shot.

Rating: K+

Her wild-red hair, her lovely green eyes, her pale complexion...So beautiful.

Nod studied his wife as she slept in bed with him. They had only married a week ago on M.K.'s twenty-first birthday. It had been exactly five years since they met, and since they had fallen in love, and defeated the Boggans. The minute he set eyes on her, he was already in love... Not literally, though. At the time, she seemed like an idiot to him.

Nod rubbed her bare arm smoothly. So beautiful, inside and out. Carefully, so that she didn't wake, Nod leaned forward, and rubbed his lips on her cheek.

M.K.'s eyes suddenly opened. "Nod?" she murmured, snuggling up against his chest and shivering.

"Right here," he murmured.

"Br-r-r-r..." She shivered even more.

"You cold?" Nod asked, concerned.

"Yeah, a bit."

Without hesitation, Nod wrapped his arm around M.K., and brought her closer. She sighed as she rested her head against his firm chest. "Thanks, Nod."

Nod kissed her on the forehead and continued to rub her arm and back. "You're welcome."

M.K. sighed. "I love you, Nod."

"I love you, too," Nod whispered, kissing her jaw and one side of mouth. She smiled.

He began to stroke her hair. Soon, M.K. fell asleep. Nod smiled, his heart aching. She was all his.

Nod remembered when they'd taken the deer ride together. She'd understood him like no one else, not even Ronan. Nod couldn't believe how much luck he'd struck.

Then his memories flashed to when he found out M.K. was a stomper. She'd then been sucked up by her father. Her father had fainted at the sight of his daughter, and M.K. had gone to kiss his forehead. Nod had desperately wished to be able to help her, to make her feel better, but there was nothing he could have done.

Now she lay literally in her arms, everything better now. Nod hadn't felt this good since his father was alive. Was this what true love was like?

Nod's eyes brimmed with happy tears, and he rested a hand on M.K.'s waist, slightly rubbing around the spot. M.K.'s skin gave a slight shudder, but she smiled in her sleep. Nod continued to rub, seeing that it made her happy.

Nod glanced at the moonlight shining in from the window. It caressed M.K.'s lovely face, making her skin glow.

Although M.K. had a slight temper, there was nothing wrong with her. It made Nod believe that he was just living a dream, and he would soon wake up and the dream would be over. Then his life as a Leafmen would soon return.

But he didn't want that life anymore. He wanted a life with M.K. It didn't matter what job he had, just so long as one of the jobs including being "Husband of Mary-Katherine."

Suddenly the sun began to rise... Nod didn't want to wake up his wife, but he was forced to.

Nod stopped rubbing her waist, and gently shook her shoulder. "M.K., wake up. Please."

M.K. groaned. "I really don't want to."

Nod moved over slightly so he was inches away from her face. He gave her a long kiss. M.K. moaned. "Feeling better?"

"Yeah..." she said, slowly getting up.

"Good." Nod shut his eyes and tried to fall asleep as M.K. began to dress a t-shirt and jeans over her pajama tank-top and shorts.

When she was done, M.K. went over to Nod, who peeked a tired eye half-way open. M.K. lay on top of him and wrapped her arms around him.

Suddenly she gave him a passionate kiss. His tongue licked the bottom of her lip, asking for permission to go further. She gave that permission and he rolled his tongue all over the inside of her mouth. Both smiled and continued to wrestle their tongues.

Finally, they broke away for air. "I'll see you later," Nod said as M.K. stood up and was at the front door.

"Bye," M.K. said.

Nod smiled as she left. So, so beautiful...
