Disclaimer: I don't own Psych.

This is just an idea that I had. Oneshot.

"Shawn!" Juliet moaned. "For the last time, we are NOT naming our band "Shawn and the Pineapples!"

Shawn rolled his eyes. "Please, Jules. People dig pineapples! And people dig music! We would be doing the world a huge favor by combining two great things!"

Gus stared at his car out the window of the Psych office. He just wanted to go home. He was fed up with the name disputing. So far, the threesome had gone through "The Crown Jules", "The Brunch Club, "Gus and the Pips", and "The Guleawn Band". Gus wasn't sure how he had been dragged into this in the first place. A detective garage band? It was lamer than a cinnamonless churro.

"Guys, lets come up with a name later. I have to do my route in a few minutes, so can we at least try to sing?" Shawn and Juliet nodded their agreement.

Jules cleared her throat and became her solo.

"There's a town on the coast, la la la lalalala

Wealthy white guys in boats called the 'US Riviera'

With a dark dirty secret that's soon to be unfurled

It's the murder capital of the world.

But the thing is I'm in too deep to turn back now

So I tell these lies

Under Santa Barbara skies!"

She glared at Shawn. "Where the hell did you find this song? It doesn't make any sense! 'In too deep' in what?"

"Well, I found it online and it kinda reminded me of us. It's sung by a man with impeccable hair! That has to mean something!"

Gus's pager went off and he left. Then Lassiter knocked on the door.

"What's going on, Lassieface?"

"I was looking for O'Hara. A body just turned up down at the docks. Why are you here, anyway?"

Juliet and Shawn exchanged uncomfortable looks. They had decided that a band with Lassie was just weird. "We're...um...we should get down to the docks!"

He gave them a suspicious glance. "What's going on?"

Shawn broke. "It's a band. Me, Jules and Gus are in a band. We didn't think you'd be interested."

"Of course, I'm interested! In college, they called me 'The Hip Hop Cop'!"

"I didn't know you sang in college!" Juliet said, trying to hide her disappointment.

"Hell yeah! Do you guys need anyone else in your band?"

Jules nodded in defeat. "Fine. You can be in the band. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6." Juliet and Carlton headed out to the docks.

Shawn leaned back in the armchair. He sighed. "Huh." He muttered to himself. "Gus, Jules, Lassie and me, all singing together. What could possibly go wrong?"
