A/N: My first Roswell story. Please give me your honest opinions. Also, I don't really know when this one could be considered taking place. Sometime between the pilot and 'Graduation', I guess. I just thought I'd write about them being in High School, because you don't really know where they end up in the end of the series. So, who knows where they are now? I might do one later that takes place after the series, I don't know. But now I'm just rambling, so please, read on and review.

Looking towards where the bus had just come from, Kristine Tucker knew this was the right thing to do. Leaving Arkansas behind was something she needed to do in order to go on her soul-searching expedition. Besides, Roswell had a good high school, or so she heard anyways.

There was no way that she was going to miss the chance to go on a trip to the famous city. She had always been interested in science fiction, and this city was on of the hot spots for action in the science fiction world. The famed 'Crash of '47' happened here, and Kristi Tucker had to know if this was true.

Her parents allowed her to go, and wished her luck on her trip, but she missed them already. This was the first time she left her home state, and she wasn't quite sure if she should go through with this. But, as the bus was pulling in to the station at Roswell, New Mexico, she realized it was too late to turn back.

Stepping from the confines of the cramped and dusty bus, Kristi brushed herself off and grabbed her things. This was going to be interesting. She had heard that someone her age was going to be waiting at the bus stop, so she looked around slowly as the bus got ready to pull away. It was a good thing she had told the school of her arrival, because she had no idea of how to get around in this town, and she needed someone to show her around.

A few feet away, stood a girl about her age with long dark hair, and a bright smile on her face, "Welcome to Roswell, I'm Liz Parker, from the high school."

"Oh, right. Nice to meet you, Liz. I'm Kristine Tucker from Arkansas", she smiled back, wondering whether or not to try and shake the other girl's hand.

"My dad said he could put you up for your stay. So, what brings you to Roswell?" Liz asked, glancing for a moment into the distance as a Jeep drove up.

Kristine shrugged, "The atmosphere. I've heard all sorts of interesting stories about Roswell, and I wouldn't to come see if there was any truth to the fiction."

A fairly good sized guy also about their age jumped out of the Jeep and walked up to Kristine, "Hi, I'm Max Evans. I was just driving by, and wondered if you needed some help with your luggage."

"Sure", Kristine smiled, handing the duffle to him as he tossed it in the back and the three of them climbed into his vehicle.

"So, where to, ladies?" He asked as he slipped into the driver's seat and started it up.

Liz got into the passenger seat, "Take us to the Crashdown, Max."

He nodded and started driving down the street.
