Stargate: Hope

22 Months after the crew of destiny is put into suspended animation, a contingent of allies meets to see Hope for the first time. Among these is General O'Neal, Samantha Carter, Dr. McKay and his sister, Dr. Jackson, Valah, and Teal'c. There is also a small group of Tok'Ra lead by Valar, whose host is very old. New to the scene is a group of Alterans, several humans and 4 Priors, who now prefer to be called Keepers of Truth.

Hope is the culmination of an unprecedented sharing of technology. It is a ship meant for long distant travel with accommodations for over 500 crew members. With the combined efforts of the new alliance, the Asgard legacy continues in this state of the art vessel which is powered by a modified Asgard core and has a weapons complement of 5 forward Asgard Beams and 3 aft. The ship also carries 3 types of smaller vessels, including 4 Jumpers for Stargate reconnaissance, 15 x-wing fighters and 4 Ori assault ships. Asgard beaming technology is now standard on all Alliance vessels, but ring transport technology is still used in conjunction with the Ori Assault ships, which drop ring platforms. The ship has 2 arboretums to assist with both fresh edible fruits and vegetables, as well as to aid in air recycling, although the ship does have CO2 scrubbers as well. Because of the seamlessness of Asgard interface technology, as well as the collective desire to preserve the legacy of said race, ships controls and ship wide interface have the feel of an Asgard ship. The ship itself has a familiar design, taking much direction from design schematics that the Asgard were working on before their unfortunate mass suicide.

Why Priors? Why not? Priors were elevated by the Ori such that they are on another lever of evolution. It was decided at least one prior on the team could be very beneficial. Yes, they were able to infect entire worlds and strike fear into the hearts of the masses, but they also have the ability to sense and control various types of technology. And, as was seen on Earth, they can also heal. Of course without the looming threat of going up in flames since the Ori are no longer. When the KOT were approached, they insisted that a group of 4 be allowed to join the team and that another 4 Alterans join as well. After much deliberation, the Allies decided it was time to allow them into the fold.

More on this later…

The Mission: Rescue the crew of the Destiny

Many genius minds came together to discuss ways to rescue the crew of the Destiny. It was decided that with the help of the Alterans and the Priors, it was possible to get Hope that much closer. Using 8 chevron dialing, the priors would be able to cross vast distances, spanning several galaxies, where they could deploy supergates. With the use of these Supergates, Hope could make the trip and deploy a network of supergates.
