Niomi (pronounced Nee-o-mee) stood inside her home. He watched the boys sparr and very much wish she could join them too. She had a sudden urge of anger and slammed her fists agaist the mud/clay walls leaving a dent.

Her mother came rushing in "What is wrong Niomi"? "Why can't girls learn how to sparr and learn how to glide"?

The men and boys agreed that it was safer for the women to stay inside and do the cooking and other things. Her mother explained.

"Ugh! The monks never agreed to that IN fact there oblivious to the fact that they're excluding us. I mean I know there is only a few girls on each air temple but... Her voice trailed off.

Her mother put a hand on her shoulder. It's safer if we just stay inside and do what we're told. I stormed out of the house and slammed the door. I stormed straight to the sparring center. AHH said the master you have come to watch.

I stormed right over to him and got in his face. I-WANT-TO-FIGHT!.I said slowly enunciating and emphasising each word. The boys backed up lot's of them were my friends but they knew better then to mess with me when I got mad.

I probably had the biggest temper in the Southern Air Temple. So what if my uncle was Avatar Aang and my dad was Monk Bushee that gave me respect but I wanted to Fight.

We've told you before Niomi it is not safe for you to fight. I pushed my arm out side ways providing a huge gust of wind shooting out of my hand. It hit a vase that someone made a year ago.

It broke in three peices.

One of the boys stepped foward. Master he said I will gladly teach this girl a lesson. "How about a fight." fight I said as I smirked.

We got into combat position. I've seen him fight many times and he always did the same move in order. As I predicted he threw at me a seven foot wall of air.

I jumped over it while doing a spinning roundhouse kick in the air.

It sent a huge arch of air at him knocking him down. He looked so surprised. I smirked but then Master Hann said I'm sorry Niomi but I will not teach you you must carry on your normal womanly activities. I stormed off. I sat on the huge outer wall of our air temple. I folded my legs and started meditating.
