'Her Voice'
Tom Riddle
Yes, I am walking through labyrinths upon labyrinths of corridors at nine thirty in the evening; yes, I am looking for Miss White. Why? Because I am; she's a girl who's caught my attention. She's odd, intelligent; quite attractive, has nice hair, and her mind intrigues me. There's so much that I don't know about her, and strangely, I want to know more. I don't know what's come over me; but I want to know absolutely everything about her.
The charms corridor was ringing with a beautiful sound as I approached it. Huh. What's going on? Strolling swiftly along the corridor, I could still hear the strange sound. It was a delightful sound; lyrically pleasing. Still searching for the source of this melodically sweet reverberation, I realised that my mind kept wondering off to Emily; wondering what she's doing now, if she was alright and where she was. Where is that girl?
The sound got louder as I reached the secluded music room; is Professor Flitwick rehearsing with the school choir again tonight? I wasn't aware of this. Slowly, I walked towards the classroom and peered through the half closed door. Emily was sitting on a desk in the centre of the room, her fingers strumming the strings of a simple acoustic guitar.
I held my breath; the beautiful music was coming from her? Did she get permission from Flitwick to use this room?
Determined to waltz inside without a care and demand to know what she was doing; I braced myself for her rants and raves; but before I could do so, her voice stopped me.
"There are so many douchebags in the world.
Yes, so many douchebags get the girls;
Who deserve more than absolutely anything;
Than any charm or potion could ever bring
But men like that; they have her on a string,
And they don't care,
for there will always be guys like Potter.
To realize tears in your eyes because he got her,
She'll never ever know how much you'd have brought her...
If you'd only done
Something more for the one
back when you were young..."
Her voice…it was beautiful; and quite tuneful for a girl who screeches and wails a lot. I was impressed; but who is this guy she's singing about? I was fascinated with this song of hers, so I decided to stay put and eavesdrop on her. I wasn't expecting to hear what I heard.
"So many assholes in this place;
So many assholes in my face!
Why can't they leave me alone-
To love princesses, maids, and queens?
They wouldn't ever be in between;
We'd treat nice and never be mean.
And we would care..."
I listened intently as she played amazingly on the acoustic and sung her dear heart out about some bloke called Potter. Was she in love with him? Hmm…I wonder. Had he hurt her? This I had to investigate.
"But there will always be guys like Potter.
Who'll quench the flame like it's a game with drops of water
He'll never think her perfect as I thought her.
... But now you're alone
Left to pout and moan,
'Cause you were totally pwnd."
For the first time in my life; I was totally and completely breathless.
This is the alternate chapter to 'Her Voice'; I thought it was a comical thing to create to show her jealousy of Luke Sharpe and his new girlfriend; whom she presummed he had, and to show her jealousy. There was something to do with Tommy boy too; but I forgot it :)
After much consideration, I figured that the original song that I had for this chapter was more romantic; though this was funny to write.
Disclaimer: I don't own this song, this song belongs to Darren Criss and the fellow members of Team StarKid. In no way, shape or form was this my intention of copyright infringment; so please don't sue me D: also, I don't own Harry Potter either.
