From bluecougar712's rules. See hers, they're very good. I own nothing, not the music, not the characters.
(Almost Here, Delta Goodrem + Brian Mcfadden)
Ianto Jones loved Harkness. Jack Harkness loved Ianto Jones. They knew it wasn't wise. They knew it woulnd't be easy. But they loved each other anyway.
Jack was immortal. He would never age, never die. Not one for monogamy, either. He and Ianto were polar opposites. Yet they loved each other anyway.
When Jack disappeared with the Doctor, Ianto was devestated. And when Ianto died, cruelly murdered by the 456,
-a part of Jack died with him. And though Jack would live on for countless years, he would never forget the man who had loved him against all odds.
(Mr. Brightside, the Killers)
Torchwood Three was complicated. More so than the other branches. And most of their problems were simply defined by one word: love.
Ianto had loved Lisa, no doubt. But he harbored feelings for Jack, too. It was like acid in his gut, seeing him and Jack flirt with each other. He understood, but that didn't mean he had to like it.
Gwen loved Rhys, slept with Owen, and flirted with Jack. And she just couldn't st-
-op.
Tosh loved Owen, and Owen had forsaken love for bitterness.
So yes, Torchwood Three was complicated.
(All The Right Moves, One Republic)
The Doctor was running. He had been running since he left Gallifrey all those years ago, and had never really stopped.
Sure, he laughed, he smiled. He seemed to be having all the fun in the world. But just below the surface lay the pain that never went away. The pain of being alone, the last of his kind. Across the ages, anywhere in time and space, wherever he was, he ran from the pain. Because one day he would stop, and he would
-finally crash and burn, like he should have all those years ago.
(Leaving On A Jet Plane, Chantal Kerviazuk)
Jack left. He always left. Because, eventually, it simply hurt too much to stay. His immortality was both a blessing and a curse.
He would be young and handsome forever. But 'forever' meant watching those you loved wither and die, and you can only watch. The only thing you want to do is help.
But Jack knows he alone will carry this burden. He would never curse anyone with this, even if it was with good intent, like Rose.
And now there was something else Jack finally understood about the Doctor. The pain of living on.
Poor Jack :( WHY DID IANTO DIE?
