Denmark had woken up with a heavy feeling in his stomach. He felt nauseous; though, he knew he wasn't sick. Maybe a day in wouldn't hurt? He didn't have plans, did he? No, the monthly meetings weren't for another week. Content that he had nothing to do, Denmark dragged the blankets from his bed and settled in the living room. He could just waste the day away, sleeping. And he didn't have to worry about the others coming by...they never visited without telling him first. He could just...sleep all day. Shifting slightly, Denmark buried himself under the covers.
"You aren't dead, are you? Move," That sounded like Norway. Mathias simply hummed, hiding his face in his pillow. "Get up, you idiot. It's nearly noon." Mathias attempted to mumble in protest only managing to speak in nonsensical Danish. There was a sigh.
"Fine, then I'll just sit on you." Before Norway could turn his words into action, Denmark had wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled him on top of him.
"Lay with me." Mathias sang, nuzzling against Lukas' collar bone. When had they last done something like this? Weeks? Months? Lukas sighed once more, shifting his position on top of the Dane. He rested his chin against Mathias' chest, gazing lazily at him. Mathias kept his eyes closed in an attempt to fall back asleep. Lukas smiled slightly.
"You're such a dork." He whispered. Denmark hummed.
"We sleep now." Lukas wound his fingers into the Dane's messy hair. They should be up, trying to be productive. But the thought of just staying here...cuddling, Lukas couldn't deny the appeal. Once more, he shifted and wrapped his legs around Denmark's. Mathias smiled, kissing the top of Norway's head. The sound of quiet snoring soon filled the room. Denmark had fallen asleep once more. Lukas sighed. Looks like this is how things will be for the next few hours. He combed his fingers through Mathias' messy hair, winding them into small braids only to brush them back out.
"You're such an idiot," He mused. "Always so loud and childish. Though...if it's just between the two of us, I s'pose... you're not that bad. You're caring. And even if you have no sense of personal space...you do give nice hugs-" Below him, Denmark's chest began to shake. His face had contorted strangely, his entire face slowly turning red. "You're still awake, aren't you?" Mathias began to laugh. His cerulean eyes opened, watching Norway. He pushed himself into a sitting position, Lukas still seated in his lap. The Dane wrapped his arms around Lukas' waist.
"Y' really think of me like that?" He pulled Norway against his chest. He glared at him, though he could feel the fire that seemed to dance on his cheeks.
"Like I said, an idiot." Denmark held him tighter.
"And I give the best hugs!" He wiggled his eyebrows. Lukas didn't put up a fight. It was only them. No one else was there to poke fun or tease. Norway wrapped his arms around his neck.
"You're a pretty decent kisser, too." Lukas went to kiss him.
"Wait. Wait. Wait," Denmark rested a hand on his chest. Lukas pouted. "Only decent? You don't...y'know feel fireworks or-" Lukas kissed him. And he did, as cliche as it is. Kissing him was like seeing the northern lights for the first time.
