Okay...for those of you who have already read this story, I'm changing the whole thing to first person. Yeah...anyways...for those of you who reviewed, most of you said "More descriptions! Go slower!" So, I am doing just that. Aren't you special?
Disclaimer: I own nothing of Naruto or it's characters. I do own the OC, and the plot, but that's it. I'm still bribing Kishimoto for Sasuke, though. ;D
Words Unsaid
-Prologue-
Faster. I needed to go faster.
The three men pursuing me laughed manically, delighted by the chase. Their kunai glittered under the light of the full moon, dripping with blood.
They were quickly gaining on me, their laughter becoming louder and closer with every passing second. I tried desperately to speed up, to go as fast as my small legs would take me, but I was too exhausted. My breath came out in heaved pants, visible in the bitter November air.
The gigantic trees around me blocked off most of the silvery moonlight, making it so that I could barely see three feet in front of me. So, it wasn't a surprise when I tripped over a fallen log, and was sent tumbling into an open meadow. As I lay in the damp grass, gasping for breath, my only thought was,
I'm going to die.
Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes, and I squeezed them shut.
The thick clouds that had covered up the full moon were quickly blown away by a strong gale, and as its silver light lit up the meadow, a terrible pain shot through me. I gasped sharply, and arched my back, as the evil pain consumed me, like the hungry flames that had consumed my village. I rolled over onto all fours, and panted, sweat dripping off of my forehead. There was a loud cracking sound, and the pain got worse. It felt like my whole body was being shifted into something elseā¦
My pursuers came to a stop at the edge of the meadow, evil grins of triumph on their faces.
"Looks like the little lamb finally gave up!" One of the men said. The other two laughed harder, and they stalked closer, kunai raised high above their heads.
When they were close enough to see what I had become, their laughter died in their throats.
Somewhere in the distance, a wolf howled, breaking the heavy silence that had fallen over the mountains.
Okay...I'll try to post the re-vised chapter one soon, but no promises...
Love this? Hate it? Wish I'd go choke on some ramen and die?
Well, I won't know unless you REVIEW!
