Howdy Fellas. This is just something I wrote a long while ago after I read Translucent Darkness's "Wish". Same basic concept, just done a little different.

"Dear Kurosaki-kun," Orihime mumbled under her breath as she wrote the words on a piece of paper. She chewed the end of her (already severely dented) pen. In truth, she didn't know what to say to him. "Goodbye, thanks for everything, I've been kidnapped by the leader of the most ferocious army in the Universe. And oh yeah, I've been secretly nursing a crush on you for the past three years. Nice knowing you, bye."

She sighed and crumpled up the piece of paper. Orihime had never been good at saying goodbyes, hellos however, she was an expert at. She pulled out another sheet of paper, scribbling down some instructions for Toshiro and Rangiku on how to take care of the house. Rain beat down on her window and lightning voiced its dismay from a distance. When she finished, she put down her pen and gave a halfhearted glance at the books on her shelf.

A book of fairy tales caught her eye. She put her finger on the top and slid it gently from the shelf. "A Small Collection of Queer Tails" it read, the "s" on "Tails" stretching out into a snake at the end. She opened it and flipped to her favorite story. There, at the top of the page written in messy, curly, dragonish letters was "The Labyrinth." Her eyes scanned the familiar page for her favorite part. Orihime never really liked the very beginning, so she always began the story when it got interesting. She mouthed the words. "Goblin King! Goblin King! I can bear it no longer! Come and take this child far away from me!"

"I wish the Goblin King would come and take me away." Orihime mused, turning the page. The Goblin King had just arrived, and he had come to take the child far away, just as the girl had asked. "No, I didn't mean it. Please give my brother back! Please!" The girl pleaded with the Goblin King. The next line always gave Orihime chills. "What's said is said." She closed the book. Then she closed her eyes and said loudly and clearly, "I wish the Goblin King would come and take me away." She waited. "Right now?" She guessed. At that exact moment, a clap of thunder crashed itself directly on her apartment. Her eyes shot open and she leapt up. Had her wish come true? Had the Goblin King really come to take her away? Where was he? Could she still say goodbye to Ichigo before she left?

She turned around in violent circles, her eyes wide and hopeful. Nothing. Orihime smiled. She hadn't expected it to work. Not really. There was no way out. She was going to Hueco Mundo, nowhere else, and the sooner she accepted it, the easier it would be. Then she noticed something. A shadow. Her eyes widened.

"It isn't often that I get someone wishing themselves away," a smooth, aristocratic voice crooned from behind her. She turned, slowly at first, then faster. He was gorgeous. She knew that was the weirdest thing she could have thought of at the time, but it was true. He was tall, blonde, had strange markings under the eyes, and an outfit that she would have loved to have herself, but there was no way she could pull it off as well as he. NO ONE could have pulled off that outfit. No one.

"So, we are ready then?" said the man.

"Y-you're him, aren't you? Are you the Goblin King?"

The man sniffed. "You know, the last girl I dealt with said something much the same. Yes, I am Jareth, the Goblin King." Orihime stared at him for a moment, then smiled hugely. The Goblin King- Jareth, raised an eyebrow.

"Thank you... umm, what should I call you again?"

"Jareth will do."

"Yessir. And I'm ready to go."
