Ethan was a hero, he fought the octarrians and got back the great zapfish, he was indeed, a hero. While Ethan was in inkopolis plaza, he forgot about a scroll in an octoling kettle. He didn't want to go back and beat them up again, but decided to go. When Ethan entered into the world, it was dead silent. "this is weird?" He said looking around, until he heard crying, he ran to see where the crying came from and found out that it was a octoling girl, with her head in her hands hiding her face and the goggles were cracked. "Hey, what's wrong?" Ethan said, sitting next to her. "Why are you here, this is because of you!" She cried out, now sobbing, she got up and gave him a sign to follow her. Ethan, confused of what he did to make her cry, got up and followed the octoling. After the walk, they were looking at a trashed part of the level, metal parts fell from the top of the cave. "After you got the great zapfish back, everything was collapsing." She said, starting to tear up. "The pieces fell on my sister a-and" she started to cry on Ethan's shoulder and Ethan was in shock. 'I did this!?' He thought, looking at her. 'I killed her sister!?' He began to comfort the girl, and then she hugged him tighter, not letting go. Ethan had kissed her forehead, which surprised the octoling. "Wh-what was that for?" She was blushing, wondering why the inkling showed that kind of affection to someone who has tried to splat him out of existence. "Because, I like you." Ethan said, now he was blushing, and they stared into each other's eyes. "But why would you like me? , I'm your enemy." She said, looking at the ground. "No your not my enemy, I want to be with you." Ethan said, making the girl blush like crazy. "Y-your saying that you." She was smiling at the inkling until he kissed her on the lips, first she was in shock, but gave him it back. They kissed passionately, enjoying the kiss before they broke away from each other. "I love you Ethan, and my name is ruby." She said, hugging him and resting her head on his shoulder. "I love you too ruby." He said putting an arm around her.
