After moving to a new town, Maka and Crona start their first day at a new high school. What they expected was to be bullied for their appearance and intelligence. What they didn't expect were great friends and a chance to escape their abusive home. On Hiatus

HI, I'm Maka, this is my twin brother, Crona,'Hi'. This is the story of how our lives went from being abused and bullied to happy and bully free. It all started when our abusive father moved back to his hometown of Death City. Our favorite people in the world live there, Aunt Marie and Uncle Stein. They are not our real aunt and uncle but we treat them like they are. Our mom and dad were good friends with them. But after our mom died when we were 6 years old. 'Oh, Maka why did you bring that up' Sorry Crona, but I had to, anyhow after that Spirit, our dad, stopped talking to them. But that didn't stop us from talking to them. We either talked over the phone or video chatted. When mom died, 'not again Maka, Sorry Crona, Stein and Marie were only dating. When Stein finally proposed, we were the first to know. Since we couldn't be at the wedding, we used video chat to watch the wedding.

Crona, want to take over. 'Sure, I'll tell them how Spirit became abusive.' Spirit wasn't always abusive, in the beginning he was a very caring father. But when mother died, that was when things started to get bad. At first he just yelled at us, told us we were useless and nothing more. But when we turned 9, things started to go downhill. The night of our ninth birthday, he slapped the both of us. That was our first taste of his physical abuse. After that it only got worse. After that night he got more abusive. That first time just paved way for more abuse. After that night he hit us every night. He also did something else almost every night, on some nights he would go to a bar and pick up women. Sometimes he would have the women beat us. He also threatened us, if we told anyone he would beat us so hard that we wouldn't be able to walk or talk. He told us this after we tried to tell Stein and Marie. That happened when we were 11 years old.

We have been abused for over 10 years now, since that first yelling when we were 6. We are now 17 and we are now starting our last year of high school. On the first day we moved here, we immediately went to go see Stein and Marie. We found out their address on our way here and this is where my and Maka's story begins.
