She sat in the bar, looking around for a face. A face that mattered to her. She felt a cold hand on her back. She gasped and turned around. There he was. The face. The face that mattered. "Hello." he said in his french accent. She smiled slightly. "Hello." She stared into his eyes. They suddenly turned from a liquid ember to a hard stone. "What are you doing here?" he asked coldly. She shrugged. "I wanted to see what was keeping you out all night, Lestat." she said playfully. Lestat scoffed. "Nothing too horrid, Jesse darling. Just some late-night feeding. You want to join me?" he asked seriously with a smirk on his face. She smiled, exposing her fangs. "Nothing would make me happier." she told him. "Its been so long since we have fed together." she said elbowing him. He smiled. "Yes, far too long indeed." he smirked. She got up, abondoning her untouched drink. He gazed at her retreating figure, pondering on how lucky he was to spend eternity with this miraculous woman who, when she was human, understood him. Understood his loneliness, understood that without someone to spend it with, eternity meant nothing. He followed her figure into the darkness.
