I don't know, I wanted to write something for these two and this is what came to me...if its stupid, feel free to leave a review lol.

I don't own anything...no matter how much I wish I did.

The blaring sound of it was unsettling and yet, an odd comfort. He still had his memories after all.

"Again medium and purple with white tips," Annie said again as another shot went off in the distance.

"I guess that one's pretty popular. They've used it a lot."

"Popular or cheap," she replied with her signature giggle. Another shot, "Finally," she sighed, her voice carrying a smile.

"Finally?" Auggie questioned curiously.

"It's the huge white one that sort of looks like the leaves of a weeping willow tree…its my favorite."

Auggie tilted his head a little. It was a habit by now, one he did whenever he learned something new about Annie that surprised, amused, and/or confused him, "Really? I pictured you as more of a grand finale, colors flashing everywhere, guns blazing type of girl."

He felt a slight shift and knew that she was looking at him. She was silent for a few seconds as a few more explosions went off in the distance, "Nice to know I can still surprise you,"

"I have a feeling you'll never stop surprising me." he said in a low voice as he began fiddle with the smooth and cool blades of grass beneath his fingers.

"…Auggie?" Annie started, her voice unsure.

"Hmm?"

He didn't know what she was going to say, but after knowing her for so long he could almost imagine the look on her face as she searched for the right words, "The shows gonna be over soon. I mean we don't have to-"

"I want to stay, you're describing them perfectly."

"No I'm not,"

"No seriously, you're doing great. I already have the pictures and you're doing a fine job of putting them in order."

Again he felt her shift, even over the vibrations that filled the air and moved the ground below them, he was just so utterly attuned to her by now that the world could be ending and Annie would still be the only thing he'd know.

Auggie felt the air warm as she moved closer to him, and closer, until he felt her breath on his cheek and the lips that followed. It barely lasted a moment and then her head was resting comfortably on his shoulder.

"What exactly was that for?" he asked as he lightly rested his head on hers, the soft strands resting under his cheek.

"No reason," she whispered, snuggling into him as he wrapped his arm around her.

As the finale started, Auggie could help but think that Annie and her surprises were all the fireworks he needed.

What do you think?

I honestly can't wait to write something...well, longer for Auggie & Annie. I love my long stories lol, I just need to figure one out.
