You Whom I Loved

You whom I loved is gone from me

Forever shall you rest

Amidst the choir of angels

For He loved you the best.

How kind, generous and loyal you were

Never a cross word to others

Obedient to your family and elders

Loved dearly by your father and brother.

Your tokens of affection towards your love

Were not received by he

To sadden you so and cause your end.

I will avenge you, wait and see!

That scurvy knave, he stole your heart

And tore it into pieces!

And then your mind and reason

Leaving you to sleep with the fishes.

Yet you, how could you let him so?

I know you better than that.

A chaste and pure shoul, strong-hearted you are;

For your life, why wouldn't you engage in combat?

Alas, my dearest friend, I cannot change the facts

But only the results we see.

I will atone for the unrighteous death

Of you, whom I loved, is gone from me.
